Stillwater Posted August 18 Report Posted August 18 I think most of the participants on this thread and forum welcome the discussion and sharing of helpful information. What was getting out of control in my opinion were the escalating negative exchanges. It feels better today 😊. 1

mr 580 Posted August 19 Report Posted August 19 Nice to see activity on this forum. Plenty of good catch’s to report so let’s enjoy the fishing without letting differences of opinion get in the way. The number of eyes around is amazing. Get out and get ‘em. 3

SchultzFishingTeamOutdoors Posted August 22 Report Posted August 22 Left mouth of Catt today 745am took a ride east best action for us 69 to 63 fow turned boat around between Angola and Sturgeon point. Pulled rods at 1130am with a 4 man limit and 1 chromer. water temps got better further east we traveled. 3 color 5 color 7 color leadcores with sticks were best 🔥 Divers with harnesses out 68 to 85 riggers 30 to 40 down with small spoons and burner's. It all worked. Pictures of best stick baits below 110 blanks painted up by Zach Baker. 3
Dcra Posted August 22 Report Posted August 22 Went out off the Catt today, SE breeze early for a few hours then died. Started out at 76', heading out to the fence. Got a 2 man limit, but it wasn't as easy as a week ago. Downriggers at 52', dipsys on 3 setting out 145' worked best. All 4 poles using a purple cisco harness, that was the hot color. Plenty of fish out at the fence. 3
mostlymuskies Posted August 22 Report Posted August 22 Went out of SBH this morning, started 62 ft around elbo, busy day 83 eyes to the boat kept 18,nothing over 26 1/2" for WNYW Tourney.Sent from my SM-S911U using Lake Erie United Mobile App 3
Tiller Posted August 23 Report Posted August 23 First trip back out in a little while, off Catt mixing it up from the normal eye routine, out targeting deep staging steelhead. 70-90fow little west of Catt. 55 temp was down 40’. Put an absolute wallop of them, full spread of spoons on divers 50-60fow down. Took about 15 eyes accidentally all released. Landed over a dozen chrome backs anywhere from 4-8lbs. Orange and blue being the best colors 1
Stillwater Posted August 23 Report Posted August 23 Launched from Sturgeon Point. Fished from 9:30 till 12:30 in 60 to 65 fow with 2 rods. Ended with our 2 man limit. Best was a dipsy on 3 setting, 145 out and harness. Size ranged from 18 to 25 inches. Lost a really good one right at the boat. Like glass when we headed in. 3
mostlymuskies Posted Sunday at 12:18 PM Report Posted Sunday at 12:18 PM Yesterday parked car at SBH,towed boat to the Catt launched and went with waves to Buffalo. All eyes were in 30 to 40ft down over 70 ft water.6 color leadcore with natural colored stiks at 1.8 mph took 54 walleye all released.Nothing over 26" for WNYW Tourney.Just a sore back from 5 to 6ft waves with an ocasional 7 fter!Sent from my SM-S911U using Lake Erie United Mobile App 2
Sluggo / NY Posted Sunday at 01:35 PM Report Posted Sunday at 01:35 PM Fished out of Barcelona this past few days.. except for Thursday.. which was a bit too bumpy us. Bite was a bit slower than the previous week, but limited out each day. Used strictly sticks on divers and downriggers. Our best bite was 50 to 60 down over 85 to 90 feet. Straight out of the harbor.. never ventured east or west. DEC was busy at the launch.. checking every boat. Nice to see them there but it sure backs things up! Taking the week off.. but we’ll give it another shot after the Holiday! Good Fishing, SluggoSent from my iPad using Lake Erie United 5
Stillwater Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago Planning to head out tomorrow. Any thoughts on what the last few days of wind and big waves will have done? Debating going out of Sturgeon towards the line versus the Catt... suggestions?
