Dmd113
Hot-N-Tots Does anybody still use these? We ran these exclusively for smallies & picked up quiet a few walleyes mixed in!
Great Escape
If nothing else is working I use them sometimes. Just make sure the lip is tuned properly or the are useless.Sent from my E6782 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
Dmd113
I know several old timers swore by them!
mr 580
We use them on Chautauqua for eyes. Fire tiger with a rattle works pretty good.
Dmd113
Thanks! The perch patterns were the ticket out of Barcelona!
lineman49
Hot N Tots, Bagley Killer B- 3's, & A- Bombers longs, were the hot lures 20 yrs. ago! Silver & blue or fire tiger were the hot colors. I have tackle boxes full of them.
J. Sparrow
You and me both lineman.......... I've got killer B's in blue/silver and green/silver that have teeth marks in them everywhere..... and now all I fish are harnesses....... what's up with that? I used to fish alot out of Erie, Pa, and kept good records on baits and successful presentation. I can remember fishing the trenches out of Walnut, and we'd get most fish on deep plugs on the boards until Mid July, and after that it was shallow divers or NK28's on riggers..... pre zebra mussels.... those were the days. I can remember one evening putting a 24 fish limit in the boat in 2 hours...... it was brutal.
lineman49
Our best day was 36 eyes in about4-5 hours. Why don't they work now? We fished out of Barcelona at the PA. line. Edited June 17, 2017 by lineman49

Dmd113
They worked for a two man limit Saturday. Barcelona trolling west. Bigger fish the further west you went.
garrymny
Just got done with the Niagara falls Fishing Expo. The romanacks mentioned them as a high action bait to use after water hits 60 degrees. Along with mag lips and such.Sent from my moto z3 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
mr 580
Most of the old school baits still work- just have to put them in the water. I run lots of Bomber Long A’s especially the black silver with orange belly which has been around forever. Kind of fun to dig some of the older stuff out and running it. With all the eyes around now, lots of stuff will get bites.
sherman brown
we used them a lot on the western basin yrs ago. and I would like to have 100.00 for every fish caught on them. the main reason you don't hear about them catching fish is nobody uses them anymore. if I was still fishing the western basin i'd still be using them.
