I’m gonna give it a rip tomorrow after work. With eyes as a safe backup plan. Tried a few times while out for walleye without much to show. There’s been so much bait on the bottom lately

Went off the Catt today & headed north to 77 fow', slow ride out. Trolled south with the waves. 2 man limit in 2 1/2 hours, all on purple cisco & lime green harnesses. Hot action between the riggers and dipsys.  When we were breaking down, we were dragging 2 & released them. Things are back to normal after the upturn.

First trip of the year.. fished seven days out of Barcelona. Took our golf clubs along just in case, but the weather cooperated and we got out every day. Fishing was unreal! I could give details on depths and lures but it really doesn’t matter. Had two man limits in a few hours each day. Only ran four rods so we could catch our breath! Back home for the weekend then back out there next week! Good Fishing, Sluggo

This must be what the folks in Ohio feel like every year until the fish migrate. I had 2 days of fishing, caught 50 walleye in 4 1/2 hours! This is insane!

WHAT WERE ON A PARTY BOAT??? MAYBE NOT YOU BUT TO MANY GUYS WHO KEEP FISHING AFTER THEY GET THEIR LIMIT KILLING TO MANY FISH TO PROVE THEIR MOCHO  FISHERMEN.

They release fine in most instances, look at the condition of the fish, watch it swim right back down to depth on a graph. You’d be surprised

IN MOST INSTANCES X NUMBER OF  GUYS DOING THAT KILLS X NUMBER OF FISH, SO WHY DO PEOPLE NEED TO KEEP FISHING AFTER GETTING THEIR LIMIT??? HOWEVER IT'S NOT AGAINST THE LAW.

And catch and release fishing doesn’t? Gut hooked fished, taking countless pictures of fish, poor handling. What about the eyes, sheephead and bass caught while early season perch fishing. There will always be mortality related to any fishing. The key is to be smart about what you should keep and what has an actual chance at survival post release

THE KEY BUT LOTS OF PEOPLE DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT KIND OF KEYS. IT'S  ONE THING TO INEVERTANTLY GUT HOOK A FISH OR CATCH A NON TARGETED SPECIES, IT'S ANOTHER TO HAVE YOUR LIMIT IN THE BOAT AND KEEP FISHING FOR WHAT PURPOSE WHAT DOES IT PROVE OR ACCOMPLISH???. I GUESS YOU DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF KEY AS YOU KEEP TRYING TO JUSTIFY IT.  WHEN BRINGING UP EYES FROM THE DEEP MOST OF THEM GET THE BAROMETRIC BENDS AND EVEN IF THEY SWIM DOWN A LOT OF THEM DIE LATER. DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY WALLEYE EGGS IT TAKES TO PRODUCE ONE LEGAL WALLEYE? YES THERE'S AN ABUNDANCE OF EYES IN ERIE, I'VE SEEN IT WHEN THEIR WASN'T AND THE GOOD LORD SAID WE SHOULD BE GOOD STEWARDS. And when the walleye population was low the perch fishing was outstanding. I’m not justifying anything as I personally quit fishing once a full limit is achieved but I personally believe catch and release is more successful out there then you believe

This past Spring was incredible but perch numbers are still down to what they once were. Erie is well and alive brother enjoy out there

Please let me know, I’m curious to know exact counts, I know they been dropping consistently since the walleye boom. Walleye are cool but I’m a diehard perch guy

NO EXACT COUNTS THEIR TOO SLIMY AND WON'T STAND STILL LONG ENOUGH TO COUNT THEM CAUSE THEY GOT TO GO TO SCHOOL JUST ESTIMATES.

Left mouth of the Catt today 9:00am pulled rods at noon 3 man limit and 2 nice perch worked NW 60 to 73 fow ended on a east troll touch east of the Catt navigating away from traffic was key today.  Riggers with burner's 52 to 60 down burner's on 7 color spoon on 5 color divers 2.5 setting out 114 to 140 with harnesses best color's for us today was chicken spoon, county fried chicken and wonderbread
