Walleye season is not closed there, but the limit is smaller. Realize that part of Lake Erie is south of our Pennsylvania border and the creeks, streams and rivers are warmer than here in New York so the bite turns on earlier and the ice is gone while here in New York we have to deal with wind blown ice fields for a month or two yet. 12. A law existed for an easement by prescription. If you use someone’s property for your purpose and it is sold you may continue to use the property “. Also Lake Erie has never been sold to anyone including the state. Only the native tribes still own the lakes. A sign posting a property must have a name and address on it. The janitor must not want fishermen using the bathrooms. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App

  19. The State of New York collects millions of dollars annually from boating , fishing, recreational users that use Sturgeon Point Marina but dumps its costs onto the Town of Evans. Registrations for boats and trailers, sales taxes from them along with other marine equipment, also with fishing licenses, fuel taxes, etc. yet we have a great fishing opportunity here on Lake Erie. All our fees disappear in the “black hole” called Albany. The Town of Evans is having difficulty funding its police department yet boaters will have to bail things out. Let your legislators in Albany assume the costs of the Marina operation and maintaining the facility since they have the funding from all of our boating communities.
