My vessel is down for repairs so I haven’t been out in a while. Years past early July and warm temps I have done well around late evening leading up to sunset in 65FOW west of SP. run 5,6,7 colors and target the thermocline if it has setup. Tight lines, hope to be back out there soon!

Launched out of SP mid day yesterday. Headed toward Catt Creek and trolled back. Ran 5 colors, 3 colors, long lines, downriggers and tried a dipsey for a short while. Marks were everywhere from 55-60fow, lots of perch schooled on the bottom in 55. Only boated 1 walleye and 2 sheep’s before we came in around 6p. We had planned to head back out after picking up another friend but the shift linkage broke on approach to the dock with the boat stuck in forward. Thankfully we were able to stop it with out assistance from the ground, I didn’t recognize it was stuck in gear until after we had it stopped. Interesting moment to say the least.

Looks like a nice installation, and it's probably at a better working height with the reels away from the bow rail.

For $15 / launch, I'll be donating enough! Don't get me wrong, I'm happy they are going to be open, but do think they are gouging us.

Got the email today, the Marina will open next week. Thanks to many folks efforts and sincere generosity the harbor was dredged !

It is my understanding that SP intends to open this year. They have applied for financial assistance through FEMA and need an inspection to receive $. I hope they can dredge and get up and running by May 15th. Stopped down today. There is some storm damage to the break wall and some of the docks, but the sand bar is the biggest issue. Going to be a lot of work to get her open this year. Hope to break out the boat in the next few weeks. Hope all are healthy and well. Tight lines.

Just re-reading some of this thread and came to realize, I haven’t been out in over a month. No wonder why I’m acting like an angry teenager. Hahaha!

I heard the sandbar was impassable. However more reliable reporting indicates you can get out of SP just pay close attention as the sandbar has grown.
