  1. It is my understanding that SP intends to open this year. They have applied for financial assistance through FEMA and need an inspection to receive $. I hope they can dredge and get up and running by May 15th. Stopped down today. There is some storm damage to the break wall and some of the docks, but the sand bar is the biggest issue. Going to be a lot of work to get her open this year. Hope to break out the boat in the next few weeks. Hope all are healthy and well. Tight lines. 2. I launched next to you. Didn’t know it was you. Was wondering what you were doing with all the fancy gear. Now I know. For lakers we usually use just a silver spoon with green or chartreuse stripe.

Nice! Did you launch next to us the first time or second time, haha. Had to pull the boat the first time after the motor wouldn’t tilt down, to figure out the trim tilt issue.

I had never specifically targeted Lakers so I figured run the old Lake O gear and we’d be good. Hahaha. Live and learn! Was a great day to be out there.

  3. Got out this morning, had some trouble with my trim tilt but replaced the relays and headed out finally around 11a. Headed to 100fow down by Dunkirk in search of some lakers ran flasher flies on the bottom and well as spin Dr’s and spoons. On both downriggers and dipsies. Never took a laker, but we did hit some walleye in 90fow on the spoons. Great screen of walleye in 90fow. Been along time since I fished for lakers. Tried running some copper rods as well, but all we did was make a tangled mess with the dipsies! Overall a great day to be out there, glad we worked through our troubles and kept at it. Finally a real nice day out there. Anyone target lakers? Any tips?

  4.

1 pair set up with tattle flags (set up so flag up indicates fish on), offshore releases on rear (flag orientation can be changed, if you prefer flag down to indicate fish on)

2 additional starboard boards, no flags on missing both releases one with front release only

$70 for all four, located near Buffalo

Very true, this wind is getting old. I have read from the Charter guys that The Buffalo bite has cooled so SP, Catt and Barcelona have all been good. Still waiting for a weekend day without 4ftrs. Maybe Sunday will be my day?!?

Also if you have Facebook, check out WNY Walleye Fishing. There have been good reports and lots of guys reporting the conditions.

Garrymny - They come set up that way, I believe I just drilled a 1/8 hole on the flag and move the spring and rod there to make them work the other way. Let me know if you need a picture or more info next time at the big I’ll try and get a picture.
