  1. I’ve been fishing a few tournaments for a few years now and would like to expand in the future. I have noticed that not all the tournaments treat weigh ins the same. Some measure the length and weight while others that have minimum length requirements don’t measure the length. Is this common?

     

    Also some check the fish for things stuffed in them, others not. Why doesn’t every tournament, check the length, check the stomachs/throats and run a metal detector by the fish? I’m sure there is a thought process behind it, just looking for some insight. Given the $ on the line for these it would seem like it should all be standardized.

     

    Any recommendations for tournaments that you like?

    - dual batteries
    - new cover in 2016
    - new trailer bearings, wheels and tires
    - Johnson 150 cruises 27mph at 3500Rpm, WOT around 42mph.
    - Bimini with side curtains
    - The live wells and coolers were removed by the previous owner, under both seats is storage.
    - The stern has two fold down seats and a fold down table
    - Gages work with the exception of the speedo.
    - Clean title and trailer registration.
    - Fishes 4 no problem, high side for the kids.
    - I am keeping the fishfinder, GPS, rod holders and downriggers.

  3. If your home port is Stergeon Pt , your eligible, or Have a place at Pt Breeze OR regularly launch at the Catt. Cost is 50 bucks a boat, 3 man boat limit , ALL fish cleaned for big ass fish fry and prizes awarded for big fish . I've fished it ( having a place at Pt Breeze) since it started.
