The day started off as the previous 2. Hours in and miles covered with 0 to show. Starting to question why I’m even trying. Ripping up new spots and areas I normally don’t look them, At about hour 7 when almost all hope was lost, coming off of a hump into a sand flat was a mega and they weren’t moving. Could easily have gotten my 50 but called it quits at 25. Landed 4 bonus eyes keeping 1 of them. They needed a little encouragement with a perch eye tipped on a buckshot spoon.

Off the Catt today, 85fow NW out of shoot, 3 man limit in short order. Riggers at 46 n 60, mag dipsys at 110, reg dipsys at 165 all with sticks. Also 5 color n 6 color lead cores of sm boards took fish. Challengers, Rogues, n Pirates all went including some Thunderstick Jrs. Colors didn't matter but purple n silver and blk/silver with orange belly were kings.

I have keypads that need replacing on my digitrol IV. Would anyone have the electrical schematics for the key pads and the internal board. I am looking at making new keypads for the riggers. Thinking of going old school carbon for longevity. Thanks for your help.

9/29 went out of the catt again. Same program as yesterday with some bigger fish mixed in. 70-80’ 9/30 fished Dunkirk just to change it up and give it a try. Fished 90’ range and they were bitting. Sticks spoons and harnesses. Rigger at 80, slide divers out 160-170 on 1.5 setting, and few on lead cores Could keep poles in the water. 3 man limit in hr and 40 mins. Made two trips out this year and it was a blast. Amazing fishery! -

An ice maker was the best investment that I’ve made, bleeding those fish right on ice and making sure they stay packed to ensure freshness total night and day difference. I on average use 15lbs of ice in the cooler and haven’t bought a bag in the last three years. Getting back in late little too tired, they keep fine to process the day after.

I understand changes are coming to Sturgeon marina, commencing spring 2026. I have been told they are removing one of the rows of 20-foot docks to make room for boats larger than 24 feet. There were quite a few un-rented 20 ft slips in 2025. I have no idea how they intend to get larger boats into the same space a 20-footer used to take up, unless they plan on relocating the 22- and 24-foot docks. That sounds complicated, because the dock pylons are pretty permanent. Maybe they will add more concrete and docks to the inside of the break wall. Seems to be room there. I also heard they are going to add electric service to all of the slips that currently don't have juice to plug in your battery charger, which is the vast majority of slips. I hope that rumor is true. They are currently again asking for a $100 deposit to reserve your 2025 spot, so I assume they will not shut the place down for a year to make changes to layout, but who knows. There is/was supposed to be a town meeting to outline the plan. Anybody know if that happened? Any details to share?

Fished Saturday 9/27/25. Headed way east to avoid the eyes. Had a flurry first light of good size. That died out and took it offshore running thru countless spots and depths. Nothing going. Back inshore more west, handful of my milk run spots that were completely void. 1 last spot to check before heading in. jackpot 44-46fow. Size was excellent and the bite was steady. Picked 20 real quick and called it good enough. Hopefully these cold nights coming up start kicking it off. Seems a few weeks behind imo
