    Fished out of the Cat today, went out at 7, back in by 9:30. Started at 55 fow, by the time we hit 70 fow had a 2 man limit, all on harnesses. Fish got bigger as we got deeper. Nice off shore breeze. Released 2 shorts, lost 1 at the back of the boat. Getting too comfortable with these easy limits.

    Out of the Catt today from 10am until noon. 2 man limit, 1 short and dropped 4. Beautiful day. 60 to 75 fow, 2 leadcore rods, 8 colors out with firetiger harnesses. 16 to 24 inches. Bite remains strong.

    Went out of Dunkirk Friday PM, Saturday AM and Sunday AM. Bite was great down 40 to 45 over 60 to 75 FOW on harnesses and billed stickbaits. Limits on Friday and Saturday in two to three hours. Got wet on Sunday AM, but still managed a few before we had to run in. Smaller average size than last week.

    I JUST READ ON LINE THE 2025 RESULTS AREN'T AVAILABLE YET. CONFUSING TO SAY THE LEAST BECAUSE MY BUDDY SAID HIS SON WON BIG FISH FRIDAY WITH A 9 LB PLUS FISH.

    Those big ones sure are fun to see and catch. Not as tasty and more contamination in their flesh.

    I’ve noticed the bigger fish are the least likely to release. It’s a real shame I don’t like eating anything over 18”

    A FRIEND OF MINE CAUGHT ONE 32" INCHES THE OTHER DAY COULDN'T REVIVE IT HAD TO EAT IT. I CAUGHT ONE 29 1/2" WEIGHTED 9 1/2 LBS.

    id estimate 10-11lbs, it was a very old fish, all efforts were made to revive and release but it had suffered some serious barotrauma. Biggest one I’ve landed since having a banner day on Christmas 2023, landing 7 over 27” with a 32” to boot jigging for perch.

    Tiller, congratulations on the 30.125 incher. Did you get a weight on it. Probably would have been competitive in the Sunset Bay tourney this weekend.

    I SPOKE TO JASON HEAD OF ALL THE DEC BIOLOGISTS FOR L. ERIE NYS YESTERDAY. HE TOLD ME THE ESTIMATED POPULATION OF WALLEYES IN ERIE THIS YEAR IS 80,000,000 AND THAT'S JUST 2 YEAR OLD PLUS AND THEY DON'T COUNT 0'S AND 1'S. FYI.

    No problem. From what I’ve seen over the last 9 years is the lake just keeps getting better and I’m sure it’ll remain like this for years to come. Id be fine with a few less eyes around but more perch lol

    Thanks Cisco, this was out of SP trolling east. I’ve put countless hours on that lake since getting my first boat at 18 years old. But having a couple million fish around our end helps too

    First trip back out in a few days, fished out at the line 73-68fow. Fish were tight to bottom and gradually suspending higher as the morning went on. 26 landed with the first big fish in the boat today coming in at 30.125”. Copper orange, watermelon, and dark green orange were the best harnesses today.
