  1. We fished out of Dunkirk yesterday targeting lakers, we ended up with 13 lakers & 3 walleyes. All the lakers where caught & released for another day but the eyes where eaten 3 hrs. later! We had a good day! All lakers where caught on Gambler rigs,10 ft off the bottom or at the depth of the fish sometimes at 80 fow over 140 fow
  2. Ten percent, how deep were you when you got the lakers? Thanks
  3. Would you sell just the 2, LC47 combo's rods & reels? If so how much & where you located? PM me if need be.
  4. So can Erie, we have hogs too but there is a lot more water for them to hide & find them.
  5. I heard rumor they are staying open until Oct.4th. or maybe that is the Catt. state launch. Call Sturg. pt. 716-947-4452
  6. I have 2 son-in-laws that will only eat my fish fries, no others.
  7. Don't you have the big perch from Seneca or Canandaigua lakes?? Shorter trip for sure. I always wanted to fish those lakes for the big perch but people are pretty tight lipped about the perch down that way. but it 's a long trip from this way too.lol
  8. Where you getting the cheap fish? I figure mine at least $1,800 @ #! lol
  9. I caught 18 the other day to get 4 keepers 18-20". Lots of 10-14"ers.
  10. Glowgetter, please tell us old & senile people how to post pics ! I am not a rocket scientist but I can't figure it out. A step by step nothing left out instruction would be great. Thanks.
  11. Gambler rigs, cowbells 8-12 ft off the ball, 3-10 ft, off the bottom. 135-140 fow. 1.7-2 sog.
  12. Fished out of Dunkirk yesterday kept 10 eyes (16-24") had 4-5 throw backs. Then fished for lakers caught 14 & 1 steelie in 1.5 hrs, had a hard time keeping 2 lines in the water the longest wait between hits was maybe 10 mins. We had a fun day!
  13. Amish people do nice work but don't know if they travel. There are a few around Leon & Gowanda area.
  14. Locked in/up!? lol About the lakers did you mean 8 miles from the Catt or 8 pass Dunkirk?
  15. Fishkiller where did you go last night? I went to your boat/truck to visit after I put things away & you were not around.
  16. Out of the Catt. Got 7 keeper eyes yesterday (16-22"), hooked up 15-20 times ,had some short throw backs & lost 3-4. also 2 nice perch. 75-80 fow.
  17. Jimski2, More power to you! with your wisdom & knowledge & the mention of catching blue pike how long have you been around? lol You always have great info. I can remember my father coming home at 7 am while I was waiting for the school bus & telling me to get the fish out of the trunk which I would do & there would be a burlap feed bag full of blue pike in it, I guess every one did that back then, its really too bad. He also said the lake behind the steel plant looked like a small city with all the boats & lanterns out there at night. I recently caught what looked like a blue pike on a Canadian fishing trip in June.
  18. I have caught 3 lip tagged fish over the years 2 from Ohio & 1 from Michigan & received the info. on all 3 all interesting. We fished Ontario yesterday & got 5 of 8 steelies & coho. They sure fight better than a walleye. If a walleye fought like one of those we would have the perfect eating & fighting fish!
  19. let them know you are not happy with all the goose crap at the launch & on the docks. I just sent an e-mail to the mayor & the city council about it. They charge to launch & to clean the fish the least they can do is clean off the goose crap! If everyone b***hes about it maybe they will clean it off. jmo
