Jimdski Posted Sunday at 10:07 AM Report Posted Sunday at 10:07 AM After my Grandson wrecked two vehicles near Belfast, NY while commuting to work, My vehicle losses were estimated at $30,000 each. He did not cause the accidents, he claimed the deer caused them. Replacement vehicles were a hit in the wallet and the deer did not respond. All the posted against hunting landowners are not responded. Doe permits do not cutdown on highway accidents.

I hit 3 deer in TN just north of Jamestown on HWY 127 and did a number on my front end. but that was many years ago and my cost was 500.00 taken out of my payment from my insurance. but I really can't complain as I've been a licensed driver for 58 years and only hit those 3 deer, but I've had to stop or break a few times.
Jimdski Posted 9 hours ago Author Report Posted 9 hours ago The lost vehicle time for work travel is not covered. For every unharvested doe, next spring develops twin fawns put three deer on our roads for deer collision problems. Yesterday in the southern tier areas i counted ten dead deer freshly killed at roadsides. Wake up !!!!! big buck hunters, take a doe first then your big buck. Automobiles kill too many deer now.

I know what you're talking about dead deer on highway. I was driving up I-71 in Ohio a few years ago in Feb going to the sports show in Cleveland and it looked like a slaughterhouse with all the dead deer on the sides that the state hadn't cleaned up for a while. here in Indiana, we have antlerless permits quotas in each county with counties that has more deer getting higher quotes.
