  1. X2. I can't believe the guys that won't share info because they don't want you going out to THEIR spot catching THEIR fish. There are millions of walleye out there, enough for everyone and then some. When I started a few years ago I didn't know anything. I learned from trial and error but the few guys that shared info greatly accelerated my learning curve. I have been back at the dock with a limit and the boat next to us might only have a couple. I will tell them exactly what worked that day and where and would give them my coordinates if they asked for them. It's no fun for anyone when your not catching fish, especially when kids are on board. Thank you everyone who shares info.
  2. What is the best down speed for walleyes when using a speed probe. I was told 1.5 to 1.8. Does this sound right?
  3. Fished out of dunkirk on Sunday and Monday and caught 18. Caught 8 on downriggers and harnesses, 6 on 8 color lead and stickbaits and 2 on dipseys and harnesses near the bottom.
  4. Thanks for the replies. I have noticed several times that fish will come up off the bottom and look at the ball and return back down. Didnt know if I was doing something wrong.
  5. Got four smaller sized eaters out of dunkirk last night in 70 ft. Worms harnesses fished near bottom caught the fish.
  6. How far back do you guys set your lures when using downriggers? Do you use different set back with crank baits compared to worm harnesses? I have not had much luck with riggers and am wondering what I'm doing wrong.
  7. Chamberlain's here also. I have had small silver bass set them off with no problems.
  8. I use an 8ft flouro leader of 20lb test with dipseys
  9. Afternoons are not much different than fishing in the morning. The same techniques will catch you fish.
  10. Dipseys catch a lot of fish. Whoever said that is missing out on a couple of great fish catching tools.
  11. Where is this mountain area? I have heard of it before but have no idea where it is.
  12. We caught 4 in 30ft of water trolling sticks out of Dunkirk on Friday. All the fish were caught on 3 color.
  13. Buy the big Coleman Extreme cooler. Someone did a test comparing this cooler to others, including a Yeti, It kept the ice nearly as long. The results of the test are posted online somewhere. I found mine at Walmart.
