  1. Went Sunday Aug 19 out of Catt Creek. Got 15 walleyes. We found best between catt and Dunkirk in 80 to 85 FOW. Sent from my XT1030 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  2. I'm going Sunday. Looks to be good. Saturday is thunderstorms but waves on 2 feet. I'm fairly close so pick my days, but only have weekends. Sent from my XT1030 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  3. I think the reports section could be made better by organizing it by location. For example when I started a topic this spring I gave it the title of small boat harbor, 2018. Others began placing tjier reports on there, and it made it much easier for folks who are wanting information on SBH fishing. Other reports titles could be made for sturgeon point 2018, Catt Creek 2018, etc. Sent from my XT1030 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  4. Agreed. I am thankful for the LEU site, but the format, and navigation is better on the LOU site. Maybe whoever does this site can check the LOU site and you will see what we are talking about. Thanks for listening to constructive criticism. Sent from my XT1030 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  5. Also, 4th of July, only one porta John and it was padlocked. But, I doubt they will pay to tear out the medians now. Sent from my XT1030 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  6. I hit the curb last time I was there. The medians are unnecessary, and they cause problems and possible damage. In addition, I have to bring a step ladder to put in the water to get back up on the dock when launching. Much improvement is needed. Sent from my XT1030 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  7. My guess is the 3 and 5 color didn't get deep enough, although they have been good. I think you nailed it, go deeper. Sent from my XT1030 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  8. Now catch a Blue Pike! Sent from my XT1030 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  9. Many years ago they stocked Lake erie with salmon. I used to go to the tributaries with my Grampa. Talking late 70's.
  10. Are you sure, the spots on the tail are only on the top fin. Which points to Coho, (correct?) but without seeing the inside of the mouth thats all I know to look for. Is there something else?
  11. 7/14. Slower day today. Had to work for them. Caught 7 . Depth was from 40 to 58 FOW, we trolled all over. Caught on 5 color leadcores with rapalas. One on downrigger on spoon. One on a drop shot curly tail jig, when we decided to try drifting for a bit.
  12. I suggest launching at SBH, gong out to 35 to 40 FOW, and trolling west towards sturgeon point. When you catch a Walleye save the waypoints. After a while you will have a number of waypoints you can keep trolling over, and should be able to catch more. If you catch nothing, circle out to 55 to 60 FOW. This will be my Saturday. I will post results when we come in. We have had most luck on 5 color lead cores. Also a slide diver with long lead, 30 feet behind the diver. our best lure by far has been a perch colored jointed rapala. We have also caught well on a eye-fish harness in watermelon color, and some on spoons. If you have downriggers, the best way to get a bite is to jerk the rod, breaking the line from the release, and let the spoon flutter up to the surface. This is very effective when you find a concentration of walleyes. They can't resist it. When they are scattered, not as effective, since you are not likely to have a Walleye nearby when you decide to flutter; hit and miss. Hope this helps. 13. Thanks, we didn't get there early enough, and sounds like we were a little too deep. Still had decent day, but next time I will start at 40 FOW and work out if necessary. Sent from my XT1030 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  14. Ok, even with Sam's pro release, the braid is still a pain to use with inlines. I like my big boards better. Sent from my XT1030 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  15. July 8. Sturgeon point. Got 8 walleye and lost 2. Also lost my church board tx 22. Most on 5 color leadcore. One on slide diver, one on rigger using flutter technique. Best depth was about 50 to 58. Sent from my XT1030 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  16. went July 7. Got 7 walleyes, one perch (on walleye lure), and one silver bass. All keepers. Straight out, 58-65 FOW. All on 5 color lead core. Nothing on riggers nothing on dipseys.
  17. I picked up one or two of those spinners at the Niagara show this spring.

  22. I guess it's still early. From the catt Creek last year in September it was loaded with Walleye. Seems this year so far is hit and Miss. Sent from my XT1030 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  23. Hmm. Probably not. Cranks pretty hard. But you're right, I'll bet I could have used the different gear, which cranks easier. Oh well. All fixed now and handle is padlock to trailer. Sent from my XT1030 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  24. I think you are right. I checked my posts from last year and it was September! Sent from my XT1030 using Lake Erie United Mobile App
