Hope for an early spring & I hope we can get out of SP!   (sand bar)

its probably going to come down to some manual labor on our part get out the waders :emoticon-0100-smile: I have found when you wait for someone else to do something nothing gets done

Is there a difference in the sink rate between 18#,  27# , & 36# test line or does the line poundage have nothing to do with the sink rate ?

18 to 36 # use the same amount of lead so the difference is in the pound test with that being said you should get a better sink rate with less dacron ( less drag ).. Hope this helps

Shinintimes, I don't think that is a bad question. I wonder that myself!  I am sure it is in some one's pocket.  One has to wonder what happened to all their launch money & the money they got from the state & fed. gov't. already??  As far as digging it by hand I don't even know if that is feasible at all. I was sort of kidding when I wrote it , but maybe if there were enough people it could be done? I would think for every shovel full taken out 2 would come back in.  Maybe the state would take it over with some of Cuomo's Buffalo Billion!

Ha Ha  lineman I knew the answer before I asked the question.. seems like my money is always going into someone else's pocket :emoticon-0179-headbang:

  6. Not trying to be a smart a$$ but where is the money from the launch ramps  ? I always assumed the money for launching paid for stuff like this  any ideas on what could be done to stop this from happening its a shame that such a nice harbor has this problem ... you can count on me for some manual labor if it comes down to that !!!

Tried launching out of Sturgeon Sat. No go. Sand bar was huge. Made a call to Miller and launched out of the state launch out of the Catt. Tried about a dozen spots with zero luck.

This must happen every winter when do they normally dredge that sand bar ? I've been waiting since last April to hit the perch !!!

  8. I believe it would work but for me its about depth control if you had or could put together a depth chart speed +line out =depth that would be a great selling point !! But lets face it we all have truck loads of stuff that don't work so its hard for me to buy another it may or may not work (spoon stick bait or jig) when I can tie-up a worm harness for next to nothing .. it is however a great idea and I'm sure at some point I will try a few and I wish you the best of luck !!!   Paul

  9. I can tell you whats worked for me ... 18 pound sufix leadcore with a 50 foot 12 pound seaguar fluorocarbon leader (red label) I did have a couple snap-offs and may try 15 pound this year you can find this on amazon and the knots you will use are on youtube ... I hope to see more posts on this just to see what leaders other more seasoned guys are using                 Good Luck !!     Paul
