    Opening Day Muskies started out fogged out early am.So.we got out at 9 am ,went North to 27ft middle off Lighthouse Point. Within 10 minutes we netted a scrappy 32"er.Not long after a 37" muskie.But took 3 more hours to finish the day with a chunky 44"er.Tried & True Wiley Muskie King Jr 5 1/2" produce again.Not many other boats North,never got a report on many boats that went South. This morning I blew a bearing on my boat trailer,so did not fish,limped home on 3 wheels.I did have a guy show me a 50" muskie picture that was caught around 10 am by the bridge.

  20. 12 Year Old Kids Deer Hunting

    Attention hunters of Erie County, NY.

     

    This evening at 6:00PM the Erie County Legislature will be holding a public hearing on Local Law Intro 1-1-2021, an Act to lower the deer hunting with firearms age in Erie County to age 12, pursuant to EnCon Law 11-0935, which passed the state legislature back in April 2021.

     

    The hearing will be at Old County Hall, 92 Franklin Street, 4th Floor, again at 6:00PM. Show up a little early, wear your camo, and help us get this one across the finish line. Erie County is one of only 4 counties in upstate left to have yet to pass this law. The more that show support, the better. Rest assured the opposition will be trying to stack the gallery.

     

    You are NOT required to speak, but you will have the opportunity to do so if you wish. Please come out and show your support!!!!

    Won't get anywhere by asking launch attendant about the launch rate.You need to go to a Town of Evans Board Meeting next Wednesday at 6 pm and ask Supervisor Mary Hosler!

      I called yesterday,(6/9)  $15 to launch, $10 for seniors & vets.  I asked if they were going to drop the price to normal rates & got no reply & a hang up on the phone. Guess I hit a nerve.
