It would be nice to have something like this at more locations throughout the state. Or maybe the equipment could be roving between various launches for specific handicapped events. I am interest because my brother has become limited and it has become very difficult for him to get into the boat.

Went out of Sturgeon Point yesterday morning.Straight out to 80 ft water,8 miles out.40 ft down with 5 ounce sinkers with harnesses at 1.5 mph.Orange blades did best.3 man limit 2 hours 17 to 22" good eaters.

When Erie rolls over move out to 100 ft water find a warm water spot and pound the top 20 to 30ft down.

I worked for Excalibur Leisure Skills Boat in the early 90's.This project is different it provides insertion and retrive of handicap persons to & from boat on shore before launching your boat.Two different ways, via a seat or actual lift of the wheel chair for less mobil persons.Much safer on land then over water and designed for public self use.Also no time holding up launch ramp while loading or unloading handicap person.

Trolled most of North Basin today,lots of baitfish in 27 to 30 ft water,but not many big hooks.Water temp was 59 surface,I believe every big critter were back in the weeds because of very high barometric pressure,clear water and high sun.Zippo but fun day on the water after missing 2 years with medical issues.

Attended NYSDEC Musky Inland Stocking Meeting at Chautauqua Fishing Assoc. Celeron,NY last night.They will move trap nets to different lakes to collect eggs and mix gentics.For Chautauqua Lake Muskies caught in trap netting are now being tagged with identification readable tag.This will identify if milked of eggs or sperm past year and for genetic purpose pass on those. Will give much info on Red Spot,Growth and Any Location Change.NYSDEC is looking for iformation of fin clips ,size & number of muskies caught from all musky tournaments.There was talk of holding over winter a couple thousand muskies in medal tanks in the hatchery for 12 to 14" growth before stocking,but this would be costly,not approved under discusion and would need a grant from Muskies Inc..

I worked real hard trying to.get Erie Basin Marina Launch Open Year-round. The two answers I got back was "NO" because Union would require the Marina Guard be on duty and Icing of steep ramp has had truck & trailered boats slide right into the water.
We did have success getting Safe Boat Harbor Open year-round, but no snow removal and ice in closure.
