We ended with 11 eyes from 65 ft off SP,boat is extra clean from.waves over the bow.Most were smaller 17 to 18" eyes.Bay Rats in purple at 1.8 mph 45 degree angle into the waves,5 colors of Leadcore. Today we decided on a change of pace from rolling in Lake Erie waves and went to Silver Lake.We found the Crappie bite in 16 to 18 ft of water to be very good.Most were over 9" but we put back all under 10",kept about 20.Hot bait was black & chartreuse trout magnet,lifting slowly near bottom with no bobber.We quit at noon when bluebird sky's slowed the bite.   11. zadvorney,You want good action at night boat down the backside of Donley's Wall to sand bar,beach your boat and quietly walk over end of wall and toss Vibrex Spinner with emerald green tape with strip of white glow tape,with crawler and cast out over the 5 to 7ft water at end of wall.   12. zadvorney,Try a small gold spinnerbait with spring clip,add 2 ounce green head with eyes,brown skirt hair jig,tipped with a crawler.Slow lift drop along the bottom at Cargil grain elevator pier end hump drop from 15 ft to 34 ft and over by the Coke Channel ,just before entering left side 37 ft hole off 30 ft South Gap.Always eyes at both spots. Yes the old guys Muskie trolling the upper Niagara River at night in the late 70's used similar tatics,no lights on so you could not see them.Then before returning back to Hank's Boat Livery they would change out lures on their rods so you would see what you thought they were using.Everything was a secret to the grave! Each fishermen has his own preference,I usually only keep the smaller eyes to eat and put back the bigger ones.But you also can't always successfully release walleye brought up from deep water fast,so they become part of the box.When Tourney fishing the big eyes go in the box and little eyes get released,if they can be,if not I live with them mixed in my daily limit.   23. Today was opening day for the Great Lakes Waters for Muskies. Did not mark much inside the Buffalo Harbor walls,surface water 67.8 degrees.Out in the lake only marked a couple big hooks,next to no bait fish and we managed only this one muskie!
