  3. Went out yesterday to 80Fow. Very rough. Believe it or not, the wave forecast was way off!!! Started the troll towards Sturgeon point and had a 3 man limit in 2 hours. Every rod caught fish and we couldn’t get only 6 rods in the water. Harnesses did the trick.

  10. If you have a 4WD Jeep to tow and launch your small boat you are golden to launch your boat from the sand at Woodlawn Beach when the waves are down.Back in the 1950,s dozens of boats launched from Woodlawn Beach sands. Home owners in Woodlawn had preferenc e to beach access.

  17. Going east was the ticket for success yesterday. 18 landed from 630-830. Everything was high 20’ down over 63fow. Sticks spoons and harnesses all took fish on 2oz snap weights. Dark colors were best

  23. Tough bite today out of dunkirk. Went from 70-105. Not nearly as many marks as Monday or Saturday. Only caught 4. 1 really good one, 27”. All on sticks. No bites on harnesses. 3oz snap weights 85ft was best bite but it was slow going. 1.7-2.2mph. Fished 6:30-11:00am. Back to Florida for me. Tight lines all. Until next time! 🫡
  24. Fished out of Buffalo Sunday and Monday from 11 o'clock AM till 2pm. Canadian line just passed sonic a shoal before sturgeon point. Got our 2 man limit both times fishing fishing 35 and 40 down on the riggers and 75 on our dipsies. 2.5mph. Fished only 3D worm harnesses single blade black and purple nonstop!!!!
  25. That sounds like the key factor in this discussion... the water may be very deep but they are biting in top third of that depth. Not a huge pressure change.
  26. Those high volume catch rate days I’m keeping 0 fish or maybe 2 or 3. The studies and general consensus is rapidly changing on deep water fishing. Depth of water isn’t necessarily a death sentence on species like walleye that will tend to suspend. Just because your fishing 185fow if the fish are only down 30-40fow the pressure change isn’t that drastic. perch caught from even as low as 30 fow seem to suffer the most from barotrauma. And deep water lakers which is wildly accepted as a fish you can target in deep water need the most time to make sure you can burp them before releasing
  27. THEY TELL ME HOW ARE YOU CATCHING 72, 83, 40+ ,45 IN 185 FT WATER IF YOU "STOP FISHING WHEN YOU GET YOUR LIMIT". I AM CONFUSED. BY THE WAY POKING THE AIR BLADDER DOESN'T WORK MOST OF THE TIME. DO SOME RESEARCH ANY ONE WHOSE READING THIS AND YOU'LL FIND OUT THE TRUTH. MICHIGAN DEC HAD A GREAT ARTICLE LAST YEAR AND IT WAS ALL ABOUT WALLEYE, BE SAFE TIGHT LINES.
