But this year I did it and decided to buy the boat. Any tips or tricks or good spots on Lake Erie are greatly appreciate. Misdirection Posted March 24, 2019 Report Share Posted March 24, 2019 Welcome. The best and easiest way to start walleye fishing Erie is with dipsy's. Get yourself 4 line counter rods/reel combo and make sure their calibrated (there are YouTube videos for this). Spoons and small shallow diving cranks like Renosky's are a good thing to start with.
