    Lamprey sores on Walleye So far this year I have caught 2 Walleye with what appeared to be Lamprey wounds on them. Sores were round shaped and pretty fresh. I have only been fishing Erie for a few years and don't recall ever catching any with sores like these in the past. Are some years just worse than others ? I know they both spawn about the same time and maybe it just over lapped more this year than other years I have fished. Anyone else catching any like this so far this year ?

    Got 2 eyes about 930 this morning back to back in 31ft. Thought it was going to be a good day. That was it just Bass after that. One on Deep diving Rap off a board . One on 3 color with a Renowski. Fished out of Sturgeon.

    Did the night shift last night out of Sturgeon.Had a good steady pick.Finished with a 2 man limit.Had 2 fish over 5lbs.Was a good start to the 2017 Walleye season.

    This was the best I cold do.Fishing was slow there and waves were beating us up some.We tried a couple spots up the Hudson with no luck.

    Larry did you get to fish when you went to long Island ? My buddy and I fished Sandy Hook NJ last weekend for Stripers. Bite was slow but got a few. All trolling nothing on Bunker chunks.

    95% of the boats are using spot lock. The other 5% wish they were.

    If you don't have auto pilot for your Terrova. I have one I would sell for cheap with a copilot wire less remote. Doesn't have spot lock or anything.But you could use the auto pilot to troll.

    Jigging Rapala with a Perch eye.

    Last year when the Perch bite was hot and heavy.After catching some smaller(9 and 10")Perch on Minnows.I switched over to a #7 Jigging Rap with a eye on the treble hook.After that all my Perch were 11" + .I didn't have to rebait after every fish and caught just as many as the guy with me that was using 2 minnows.

    Fished yesterday 8/20 out of the Catt. My fishing buddy cancelled so I fished solo.Did a lot of searching. Got 7 mostly small eaters.70fow 50 to 60 down.Got 1 on a stick bait the rest came on harnesses.

    Fished Dunkirk Sunday managed 9 eyes dumped a couple at the boat.Fished west of port,All fish came from 70 to 100fow. Rigger at 55ft. with copper watermelon hatchet harness took most of the fish.10 color and 40 jet also took fish. Ran a few sticks with no luck. Top 2 fish were about 7 and 8 lbs. rest were nice eaters. Never found any schools just a fish here and there.

    Happy 4th fished out of the Catt. from 56 to 86Ft. only 3 Eyes all on harnesses off the riggers.Got a nice skinny 31incher

    Did a full day out of the Catt. 2 of us managed 10 Eyes.Fished harnesses and sticks off riggers , leadcore and jets off big boards all methods took fish.Bay Rat was our top producer.1 fish off 3 color, 1 off 5 color,couple off 40 jet,riggers 40 to 50ft. 58ft. of water was our best depth,1.5 was our best speed.Surface temp was 69 to 71.Morning bite produced our best fish 2 about 7lbs.1 about 9.Evening bite produced most fish.

    The 2 lures on the left in the 1st picture are Thundersticks,They have been working for me at night in close.
