  1. I've made this a few times. It always turns out great. I also like the smoked salmon brine recipe. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  2. I think I've seen you in olcott before. I live in Newfane and fish there quite often. Welcome aboard Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  3. Well, I sold my 25' hardtop and bought a 2001 Superfisherman 196 in February. I bought two new cannon mag 5's, 48" of track for each side, swivel mounts for the riggers, underwater lights for the stern, replaced the courtesy lights with blue LED's, replacing the bow nav lights with 12" LED's, four new med light rods and size 20 reels for Browns and eyes, and a bunch of walleye/ brown tackle. After a few trips out, and working out some bugs I will need two new batteries for the terrova, and will be replacing the steering with hydraulic (hopefully I can get through the season). 4. Welcome aboard. I too will spending a lot of time on Erie this summer out of buffalo and Dunkirk. If I can dial in a program, I might even get in on a few tourneys too. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  5. We did well every trip except one. Spent this Sunday on chaumont. Small perch and lost a really nice fish after a short battle. Fished the bar this morning and jigged up one laker. It's early yet but it's coming. Spring is in the air Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App

  7. You look an awful lot like BigFish from shanty. Welcome aboard Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  8. It looks small but there's 24 LED's in each light, putting out 650 lumens. Its pretty bright too. I haven't tested in water yet though. I'm hitting the bar on Tuesday for a shakedown, so I should know better by then.
  9. I bought them from eBay. These are the courtesy lights I bought. I have 4 in the cockpit and 2 in the bow to replace. http://m.ebay.com/itm/RV-MARINE-BOAT-TRAILER-LED-BLUE-OBLONG-SHAPE-COURTESY-LIGHT-3-BY1-25-S-S-RIM-/301594742842?nav=WATCHING_ACTIVE These are the underwater lights. I haven't used them yet but I figured for the price, it was worth a try before spending the money on ocean LED's. http://m.ebay.com/itm/2-NEW-3-5-quot-BLUE-w-316SS-COVER-24-LED-UNDERWATER-PONTOON-BOAT-TRANSOM-LIGHTS-/271608829461?txnId=1607929433017
  10. It's my favorite way to fish. A couple friends, few beers, and catching all the 3 or 4 lb males you can handle, with a few bigger ones, and non targets mixed in. I put some underwater lights on the stern to help net this spring and some better lighting inside. I can't wait
  11. Its mainly a combat trolling situation in 5-7 FOW by buffalo. I've been out on my buddies boats each spring pulling husky jerks along the shoreline. This year I sold my 25' hardtop and picked up a 19' superfisherman so i'll be out there more.
