  1. THE CISCO KID SAYS THANK YOU TO J. SPARROW A GOOD SKIPPER AND MAN WITH MORE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT SETTING UP DOWNRIGGERS,  DIPSYS ON WIRE AND PLANER BOARDS  THEN I EVER WANT TO LEARN OR COULD LEARN AS I AM A BOTTOM BOUNCER. YOU KNOW A SINKER A WORM AND  I AM FISHN PURE SIMPLICITY. HE TENDED 6 RODS DROVE THE BOAT READ THE GARMIN BAITED THE HOOKS  ( I WAS THE WORM HANDER OUTER.)  HE MADE IT LOOK EASY. I WAS SWEATING JUST WATCHING HIM UNTIL HE PUT UP THE BIG BIMINI TOP ON HIS WELL EQUIPPED CRESTLINER 1850 COMMANDER. THERE IS SO MUCH ROOM IN THE BACK OF THE BOAT WE COULD HAVE HOSTED AMERICAN BANDSTAND. DOES THAT GIVE AWAY MY AGE HA,HA? YEP 10 SWEETMEAT EYES NO PONCHO, NO WHISKEY, NO WINE JUST A FUN DAY GOOD FISHN AND  EVERYTHING WAS FINE. :emoticon-0142-happy:

I just use a small snap without the swivel. Never found a need to use the rapala knot. Seems like the rapalas have enough action just using the snap. If I change to a spoon then I'll exchange for a snap swivel.

THX FOR INFO I HAVE SOME SMALL WALLEYE SPOONS LIKE STINGERS NOT SURE WHAT SPEED TO RUN THEM AT?

Got my first limit of walleye today. Started at 7:30am and had four in the boat within an hour. Then it slacked off until 11:30 when I got my fifth one. End the day with a double so had to let the last one go. Biggest was 23 inches. All came on joined rapalas fished very close to the bottom. They seemed to want it slow, about 1.5 colors were black/silver; black/gold, and yellow/silver. Fished 78 to 82 down. Hits mostly came on down riggers.

Nice catch Stillwater, I'll have to try the evening bite in the next couple of days with these calm conditions.
