  6. I fish into October in northeast do ok Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
  7. I like to run big (salmon type) spoons of one rigger and a little spoon off a dipsy almost all times...both take enough fish for me to justify it. My boat only gets down to about 2mph so I tend to run like 2.2-2.5 GPS. Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
  8. Don't forget about Presque isle bay....some awesome fishing in there!!!! Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
  9. Walnuts on fire right now....but it's a cluster down there lol...I use windy windfinder and noaa app...walnut has a weather bouy too...make sure have a radio+ the rest normal gear Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
  10. Beautiful morning. Did like 15 fish or something 5 keepers and a sweet catfish that made the day....good looking blow boat too...50-70 fow scattered find them and circle if you can....harnesses and spoons for me but I can't get real slow...I think if can roll harnesses along bottom at 1.2-1.5 probably do better but weed thru more too... 13. I'm graphing the thermocline at about 60 feet down over 80fow out if northeast....my probes not working ATM but I can see it on graph Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
  14. I guess if you thought about it....how many fixed cheaters could you hook to a rigger line? Be a long line for walleye. I believe it's a similar concept to a Seth Green rig for lake trout....(I think lol) would just be electric reel instead of manual Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
  15. I am running the okuma glt also...nice rods imo Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
  16. I believe also ny has a hook "point" rule....and I agree once hook is attached it's counted to the rod limit....at least one would think Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
  17. You don't think it would be considered electric reel? Didn't think about it being used as rod count limit (edit) Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
  18. The rigger would probably be classified as a rod and reel wouldn't it? Like those deep drop electric ocean reels? No idea just an interesting concept..... Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
  19. If you email Brian he may be able to help you out...check his web page out...his shipping always wicked fast Gamblerrigs.com or fb page Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
  20. So you would run a lure off the ball no rod and reel? Seems crazy to me but hey on the slow days I'll try anything. Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
  21. I think the longer marks with yellow in them are fish....I think some of the smaller "clutter " up top could be bait...fleas...grass..mayflies or whatever they are actively chasing....thats how I interpret that screen. Ps doesn't mean I'm right lol[emoji1787] Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
  22. This is what I think the eyes come up on my hummingbird as....no way to know for sure Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
  23. Fishing still pretty decent when you find them. Read on gambler rigs fb page that captians were using death traps with his harnesses. So thre 1 on rigger to play with. Wouldn't you know it did 5 of our keepers yesterday....tons of shorts to weed thru Attached pic of the gambler rig harness set up if you haven't seen them Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
  24. Idk about to much bait...I do my best when I find bait and fish the active /suspended fish around it....much like salmon guys do. I have no real bite sucks theory... I know the 4th we crushed them....the 5th we didn't.. same spot same water...same depth temp speed lures all the same...did 12 in few hrs...then 1 in 6 lol Fishing! Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
  25. Fishing is getting better! Fished 2 weeks around the 4th and had a blast plenty of fish caught and some nice ones too! Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
