    Off to Chautauqua Lake this Sunday for the first Muskie trip since July 4th.I had been leaving the Muskies alone because of high water temperatures up to 79 degrees.I'm hoping that temps have dropped below 75 degrees by now.Need to practice and get key locations down for the American Great Lakes Outdoors Writers Convention where we will take writers muskie fishing Thursday,Friday & Saturday next week.     The clutter around the downrigger ball red lines is slag dust in the water,taking away from a full fish arc signal.The arcs would normally be more pronounced with a little red at the center of the arc in only 28 ft of water. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Erie United Mobile App

    Soon as you hit the open water it was gin clear and not much marking on the screen.Inside the Harbor in the South Gap were very large schools of emerald shiners as well,you could also see them breaking the surface as they rose up after dark.     Tried trolling Buffalo Harbor walls for eye's from 8 pm till 1 am.Marked a good number of Walleye along the outer wall at South Gap, but could not get any hits.Water temp was 75.5 degrees still. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Erie United Mobile App

    Nice,I worked my way from shallow 65 ft to deep 110 ft all the way from out front of Dunkirk to Brocton Shoals and only caught 2 walleye & 2 sheepshead on harnesses worked near bottom. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Erie United Mobile App

    I purchased them from old stock at Musky Shop .com,custom painted by Stan Durst.I do not think they have any more.From time to time they come up on eBay.Yes I use them after the grass is gone off the bottom in deeper Canadian waters of the Niagara River in early December.I upped the size of trebble hooks to 7/0 and "T" them.
