  1. Watermellon is my "go to" spoon color. As for how far back... For walleye, I run everything at least 100' behind the ball.
  2. Renosky's.. With replacement hooks Reef Runners Michigan Stingers Harnesses.. If we're bored and want to catch white bass
  3. Paul.. dinner certainly isn't necessary, but I'll accept a cold beverage!
  4. This is where we've stayed for years as well.. Although it's in Westfield..not Mayville. It's clean and reasonable. It sleeps two guys per room..unless you're really chummy. There are several good eateries close by..including a great bar-b-que just down the road. And as DJ said.. The ice-maker is a real plus. Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris) Paul.. As I recall, the double rooms are about $70/night. If you do call and book there ask for one of the rooms across from the office. On that side there's plenty of room to back your rig right up to the room and leave it hooked up. Plus.. You're closer to the ice-maker. We don't usually start hitting there till July.. Unless my charter buddy out there calls me with some great reports. Hope to make it out three or four times this summer. Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)

  6. Shinintimes.. I don't know of any campgrounds or cabins with docking. I know you can dock overnight at Barcelona Harbor, but it's not patrolled or very secure. We stay at a motel about three miles from the launch and drag back and forth. Not a big deal for us. I like the launch and parking much better at Barcelona than Dunkirk, but I'm also more used to it. Let me know if you want any info. Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)
  7. Welcome aboard Kevin. Hope to see you out there this summer. Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)
  8. Been on LOU for a long time, but don't post much as I'm mainly a walleye fisherman. We try to hit eastern Erie three or four times each summer and normally do quite well there. We normally launch out of Barcelona and troll the waters between the PA line and Dunkirk. Like most.. We run the full assortment of gadgets, but dipsies always seem to be our best producers. Glad to see this board materialize and thanks Chad for making it happen. Hope to contribute as well as learn from you guys. Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)
  9. Fished it several times.. Fun tourney! Hope to be there for it again this year. We fish out of Barcelona Harbor.
  10. Justin.. I was doing great until we had our first major ice. Since then it only opened for a short time.. Then went high and muddy.. Then iced over again.. Then high and muddy.. I guess I'm finished till it re-opens in May. Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)
  11. Hi Paul... We fish mainly out of Barcelona Harbor and concentrate on the waters between Dunkirk and the PA line. I'm in Cape Canaveral, FL right now but I'm ready to head back to catch the last bit of walleye season. I wouldn't have come if they'd told me there are no walleye here! Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)
  12. This is going to be fun! I love visiting LOU, but I'm a walleye guy and love fishing Erie. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute. Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)
