  1. Idlewood Yacht Club. Steam yachts from Buffalo serviced the estates along the shoreline since the lakeshore road had no bridge over the creek. Marine travel was the most convenient way rather than a horse drawn buggy over mud roads. At the turn of the century Buffalo was the second richest city in the USA. The Kellog Estate and Grandview Bay also had docks.

  3. My wife and neighbor lady would love that. They don't like trolling, but that's the only way I've been able to get them. Maybe we will try it. Jigging? On the drift? Thanks.

Picked up a three man limit in 33 min
Yesterday at Sturgeon pt. Never caught that many in so short of time. All caught bottom bouncing. Dragging bait on bottom. It didn’t mater what color. They were on the feed

  4. That's why I use wire.If I want fight I go to Lake Ontario and catch Kings. If I want food I go to Erie.I catch plenty of Eyes of my riggers with no weight or drag and they still don't fight.

IYour right , at least I can feel them on, using light action rod, using a downrigger is like bring a shoe .
I have my freezer full. You can only eat so many unless you have a neighborhood fish fry.
I’m after perch right now picking up some nice catches.

  5. Did you read this before posting?.........Just sayin'

    That’s nothing new
Take a boat ride around 3 in the morning past the Buffalo sewage plant and smell the raw sewage.
The ironic part of it , the Tonawanda water treatment and intake is just 1 1/2 miles down stream. And then you wonder why the cancer rate is so high in the Toneandas

  6. With the warmer water the walleyes are migrating west of Sturgeon Point. We were off Point Breeze where the screen was full of fish top to bottom.

Eventually the thermocline will be west of Silver Creek.

How about the shallows, 16 to 22 ft of water on the lake. Many walleye
Limited out the last three times out. Nothing big
8 to 21 inches, but many
