I know this may not be the correct forum to pose this question, but I wanted to get it in front of a bunch of you seasoned walleye guys. Question one. Is there a resource to rebuild reels? I have a couple daiwa 47 LC'S where the line counter doesn't consistently function properly and drag/gears feel funny. Q2 if you were going to buy new line counter reels for dipsey dive use, what would you buy (from experience)..all factors considered..thanks in advance for your feedback

While working the Buffalo Pedal Tours Cycle Boat up the Buffalo River I noticed lots of bait fish and walleye hooks.I told a local friend,he fished it today and caught his limit trolling 2 colors of Leadcore with Bay Rats in Gobbie color at 1.8 mph.

There are limits of walleye coming out of the Buffalo River up near Silo City.Water temp is a little cooler then Lake Erie drawing Bait Fish and feeding eyes up river .

Great Escape,I have heard a couple other reports about the 45 ft trench by Brockton Shoals bottom bouncing harnesses slow at 1.2 mph has been catching some 6 to 8 lbers!

I had the water spout cross 100 yards from the Pedal Tour Boat up the Buffalo River on Satuday.Like 50 mph sideways rain for 2 minutes,enough to soak everyone.

Keep loosing fish because of light lip hookups pulling out near the boat,so went to Flatfish slow bottom bouncing.

Yes I switched to that setup of bottom bouncing with 8 ounces in 90 ft of water using Flatfish so still had good action at 1.5 mph and used a stinger with piece of crawler off treble hook.

Jaybird904,If the Eyes are moving on the ball shorten your leads to 15 ft and try popping them off to drift up through the fish.

When eyes are hitting slow & short,you can go very slow with Flatfish with lots of action in their face!

Yesterday during Media Day Event one boat straight off the Dunkirk Power Plant Stacks in 85 ft of water fishing 75 7ft down caught 24 walleye in 3 hours from 8 am till 11 am.

In the Buffalo Harbor today,North Gap,2nd short wall in from lake,outside where it jumps up from 21ft to 7ft against the wall.The Bass guys were catching walleyes today tossing small crankbaits!

Waves are breaking over the long wall and 4 ft wash board behind the Buffalo Harbor walls.28 mph West winds.7.5 ft waves at Port Coulborne Buoy so probably 10 ft!
