Yesterday all weather marine reports had 10 mph North wind & 1 ft waves.Wrong went Northeast at what felt like 15 mph,waves went to 3 to 5 ft only 4 seconds apart. All year they have been wrong on forecast.NE wind over 10 mph you will be rolling on U.S. near shore.

56 to 58 degrees on bottom from Point Abino to Turkey Point and 48 degrees off Long Point in Canada.
Today off SO in 63 ft of water was 70 degrees,2 days ago it was 76 degrees

Todays weather report for Lake Erie from Buffalo to Dunkirk was supposed to have been North at 10 mph.
Instead it ended up Northeast at 15mph and 3 to 4 ft waves in short duration.Client grabbed windshield on big wave and it pulled apart,glass is pulled out of frame at bottom.So had to idle in from SP to SBH at 5 mph so as to not break the glass.All that and only 2 keeper eyes!

Jeff,they have been doing well just west of Dunkirk in 65 to 70 ft water.Most fish have come on 10 color leadcore or dipsy #3 setting 155 out.Harnesses in copper / orange .

Also to bottom bounce in 63 ft water using 3 ounce bottom bouncing wire rig with 3 ounce Gibbs weight attached above molded snicker on the wire rig.I use two of these setups on the inside and two 5 color leadcore with wire backing,put out all 5 colors and 60 ft of wire backing,I adjust from there more or less unroll I touch bottom,then just a couple cranks up.So only using four rods,easy to start big motor and make bigger turn back to the starting position on the walleye school,then shut off big motor and go through under electric motor again.
21 passes 10 walleye.

The bite was very good from 5:30 am to about 9 am when the light winds switched from a South direction to East South East never caught another fish from 9 am till 10 am.I also camped on the little school,every time trolling through at end of marks picked up and ran back to start through again.This year you have to work schools,stay on fish to get any sizeable catch.

Yesterday I just drifted with the wind,today I set electric trolling motor at .8 mph GPS over bottom and went with the waves.4 eyes were in 6 to 7 lb class,4 eyes 3 to 4 lb class and 2 were 16 inches.

5:30 am start in 63 ft water off Sturgeon Point. Back bottom bouncing copper & orange hatchet blades at
.80 mph.10 walleye & 4 Sheepshead,quit at 10:00 am,family picnic at 1 pm.
SBH launch flow was with out incident both launching & retrieving, seems for guys are getting use to launch procedure,or least the fishermen are more organized.

Ran from SBH to 63 ft on the line in front of Sturgeon Point.Bottom bounced with copper & orange harnesses,7 eyes & 7 sheephead,slow day.Marked eyes on bottom from 63 ft to 58ft,but most were closed mouth!

I've only seen one other King caught from Erie,the past 10 years.Seen Atlantic Salmon a few times.More Steehead and a few Brown's.
