I am outfitting a new boat and have selected a Simrad NSS Evo2 MFD w/integral sonar. I am looking for a high quality medium chirp thru-hull transducer with as wide a cone angle as possible, and the ability to ID fish when running.
Thanks in advance.

I've experienced this almost every year out of Barcelona, the temp break doesn't have to be as extreme as you experienced, these pockets hold bait/fish and often big fish

A trick I learned along time ago salmon fishing. When you see fish streaking up to your weights on fish finder then dropping back down, a lot of times a shorter lead will get the bait in front of them before they lose interest.
Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile Appwe had this happen to us, tons of fish coming up to the ball, shortening the lead did the trick. also start with short leads early when fish are aggressive. also speed kills

Been fishing this lake 26 years this is a great time for the tournament. Also would not give up the big dollar tournaments to fish the southtowns in july. Let's see $4000 or up to $25000. I'll take the big money pay out any day.

Food for thought... Jim you and the other top tier guys might not give up the big$$ tourneys but 90% of the rest of the walleye guys and their kids couldn't get in those tourneys if they wanted to - limited field sizes and/or entry cost per team - these facts may bode well for running the STWT at the same time... just my option from outside the box.
