  1. No, worst season for perch ever. Bait dealers are hurting as bait sales stink. Good luck though and put some worms out as it is a good year for large sheepshead. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App

  6. Follow the water temperature and you will find the fish. Dead oxygen zones below the thermocline though are fish deserts. This has been going on all my life.
  7. Yes, when the water temperature drops below 65 degrees, the Walleyes will return to the near shore areas. Donnelly's wall at the Head of the river is an ideal spot. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App

  13. Chautauqua lake Walleyes move to the weed beds to avoid the sun as the bottom lake waters in August are dissolved oxygen depleted from all the dead plankton and other life decaying on the bottom. The surface waters receive new oxygen from wave action and rainfall when it sometimes happens. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  14. The difference between a" bluebird sky" and a cloudy overcast day is the fish avoid strong sunlight. With all the east winds and blue sky this season our time would have been cutting our lawns if we had one. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  15. After yesterday's trip go west of Purina Tower now. Cold nights are coming and the fish will back east soon but they will not be as concentrated. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  16. We tried to reach the Purina Tower area this morning but the waves were getting high. Fished from the West water tank of Silver Creek to the east and north. Poor showing every where on the screen. Only one medium walleye on a dipsey set at 3 and 180 out. Waves picked up in the middle of the lake to 3 and 4 footers. Picked up and came in to a flat wave beach. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  17. Riggers with worm harnesses set 50 foot back so they are clear of dipseys set off the side of your boat. Your cannon ball track on your screen will be just above the Walleyes 60 to 65 foot down now. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
  18. Dunkirk Con Club Derby results 71.34 pounds for a three day total of nine fish by JimOpeil. Big fish was 10.85 pounds by John Ferdinand. 74 to 85 foot of water was good for some. 20. The offshore south wind caused an upwelling of colder water Wednesday near our beaches. The fishing in 71 to 75 was shut down but the screen showed a lot of fish in 52 foot of water. But the bite was almost non existing every where. Only one walleye on our boat, the other boat had two, on deep fished dipseys. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile App
