We have a minn Kota 55lb thrust trolling motor at the front of our boat. We know the battery is charged and all of the connection seem to be good but it won’t turn left/right or run at all. Battery indicator on the motor says full charge but no movement from the foot pedal/speed control! Any thoughts would be appreciated greatly??? Thanks

Launched out of Mayville at around 8:30 trolled south in 4-9fow. Caught one 26 on a f11 silver minnow. Trolled up to Chautauqua marina and picked up 2 more. Trolled past the Mayville launch and picked up 5 in about 3ft with smaller renoskys. Not bad for our first outing

Ended up with a 3 man limit last nite in 4 hours. Black and silver F-11 Rapala did the most damage. Stupid easy. It was a little nautical running to Hamburg but it calmed down nicely as the nite progressed.

I can’t wait for the Hamburg 500- cold water or not- Hope mud isn’t a huge issue.

We have attempted to participate in a few times but have never been successful. Just curious if you have even in that pack of boats?

With ice the perch can be cleaned safely the next day. Live wells especially during the warm water periods are like cooking your fish in soup.
I agree fillets even taste better when stored cold on ice.

In our 17ft boat which isn’t very deep we will go out in 10 knots but not for very long as it is hard for us to control the boat

If the winds are high, stay in the harbor. Minnows work well with perch on the bottom and anchored up. Worms catch sheep head. Bass are good with minnows and crabs drifting. Life jackets are good for kids and greenhorns. Check charts for humps and holes for fishing. Watch for boats catching fish, not just packs of boats doing nothing.

Thank you!IMO the 15 is too small for leadcore. The 20 would likely be OK as a 3 color. I tend to run my cores on bigger capacity reels so I have plenty of backing to run off boards. You can run slightly smaller reels if you run Tuffline Micro Lead which has smaller diameter than most of the common lead core like Stealth Core from Fish USA.

We have some soft boards on our boat and would like to know where we should go for the wood/cutting or is it something we can do ourselves? Thanks
