  1. Jim and I did a post spawn fishing trip.  Sorry it took a little while to get this one out.  These take lot of work and time to put together, but we try to make them so people feel as though they are out there with us.  We caught some big smallmouth, largemouth, Pike, and had hook ups with muskies.  Lots of other species as well.  Come along and take a look around the lake and see what was biting.

Cool, thanks for posting this video. I'm going to be in the Cleveland area for a bit. Where are the best places to bass fish on Lake Erie?  I'm willing to travel a bit if I need to.

All around that Cleveland Harbor is good fishing.  Rocks hold a lot of fish.  Sandusky Bay isn't too far and has good fishing.  Avon Pointe has nice smallmouth.  Huron River has good fishing near Vermillion too.  Good luck

  3. Guys are getting them close to shore right now I'm hearing.  Use hair jigs, and blade baits such Jay's blade bait.  Vertical jigging them is a blast.  If your looking to get away from the crowds it may be a little better, but not much.  It gets pretty crazy out there too.

I can't wait either.  Couple cold nights might have me holding off one more week.  Thanks for kind words.

  5. If the wind keeps you off the lake during the big walleye spawn in the Western Basin.  The Maumee River is always a nice back up plan to get some walleye for the day.  I took a drone aerial view of the Maumee River's best fishing areas for the walleye.  I did this when the water level was really low to give a good perspective on the best spots.

  6. Here is a new Lake Erie Fishing video from this past fall.  There are some different areas than you have seen in the past videos.  It was a short, but very productive trip.  If you watch the video with your phone you should be good.  If you watch with your computer, ipad, or T.V.   You will want to click the bottom right to make it full screen, and click the other icon next to it to make it better quality.  Hope you enjoy it.  We have a few other new ones to come out in the following weeks.

You know you have a good trip when you catch some bonus fish while out.  I made it out this summer and had a bass trip planned, and ended up finding walleye on my spots that day.   Ended up with a great mix of fish.  The video is in the link below.  Click the lower right of the video next to Rumble to make it full screen.

Where are the channels you are fishing?  I am somewhat familiar with the North East area and near Presque Isle Bay and North to the "W"s.  I haven't seen any fishable channels like this.  Planning to make the trip was WV this weekend (Oct 19th and 20th)

Sorry I missed this bud.  I was in Tennessee and Kentucky for over a week.  You can find the channels starting around Port Clinton and they go all the way around the Western Basin to the Detroit River.  I was just in East Harbor this past Monday.  Hope this helps.  Tight lines

  9. Locations and lures to catch those early fall transition bass on Lake Erie.  I made my way out on Lake Erie looking for those Largemouth moving in.  I was able to piece together a pretty good morning.  Caught probably 30 by 11 am.   Two lures did the most damage.   I put together a little video that will show you the day went and what lures worked best.

  10. Jim and I did a walleye/bass combo on Lake Erie today. The bite was tough around Turtle Island and Michigan dumping grounds. We managed a few walleye and released some snagged ones. The walleye came on hair jigs and blade baits.
The bass bite was sporadic, but we did get some decent ones including this hump back. Water surface temperature on Lake Erie was 42 degrees. Water clarity was only a couple inches down by Turtle Island. It was pure mud.
