Same program as last time this morning 8:30am to noon. 4 walleye all from bottom bouncers with harnesses. Not even a hit on boards (was running 6 with harnesses). Sent from my SM-S901U using Lake Erie United Mobile App
Wished the windmills yesterday 5/23, 6pm to 830pm. Harnesses on two bottom bouncers, 4 planer boards set at various depths with harnesses. Speed was 1.2-1.5 and all rods caught fish. Finished with 8 decent size walleye, 2 bass. 30-38ft of water. Sent from my SM-S901U using Lake Erie United Mobile App
I have never had any luck fishing walleye out of Buffalo in winter. Tried a couple times last year. Perch is a different story. Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Erie United Mobile App
I'll be heading out shortly. Fished the windmills for 2 hours on Wednesday with no luck. Moved behind the breakwall and got 9 in 3 hours, along with a laker. Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Erie United Mobile App
Fished the windmills on Saturday 5/2 from 6am to 2pm. Finished with 9 total, biggest fish was 28.5in and just under 9lbs. Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Erie United Mobile App
Yes many times. We troll the shallows with sticks out until you can feel them bouncing off the rocks. Then bring them in slightly so they are not getting snagged up. Speed plays a big part, generally anywhere from 2-3mph. You just need to pay attention, on a good night there can be a 100 boats out there in a small area going back and forth. Bright green and orange always work well for us. Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Erie United Mobile App
Well with everything going on in world, we can look forward to the walleye opener next Saturday. What is everyone's plan if the weather plays nice? Water temp was between 41-42 yesterday outside of buffalo. Big change from last year, dodging ice. For myself I am going to grab some perch during the day and take part in the Hamurg 500 for walleye at night. Sent from my SM-G960U using Lake Erie United Mobile App
