Planning to head out tomorrow. Any thoughts on what the last few days of wind and big waves will have done? Debating going out of Sturgeon towards the line versus the Catt... suggestions?

Fished out of the Cat lines in at 6. Lost 2 fish at back of boat within 10 minutes fished 55-62fow bob with harness rigger with harness caught to fish perch and pink panties 5 colors with northern lights caught 2 sheepshead done at 7:30 nothing big just nice eaters 18-21

I’ve never tried plastics, they are slow to fall. Any type of small heavy hardware works. It’s more about being over fish than anything else. If your not catching you should be moving 

The usual jigging raps and spoons, I’ve never thrown a perch rig before, stay over them and you’ll get them. Fished today 4/13/25 no bait once again….100 fish box by 11am different spot from Friday 

Fished all day 4/11/25 covered over 10 miles, from the inshore region to the offshore waters. Had a small handful when packing it up. Starting to cruise off went over a patch a sand that was holding a school over 10’ thick on the graph. 47 minutes later boxed out. No bait was used in the making of this limit. Artificials only

Just seeing your message now man holy smokes it was insane out there today there was plenty of parking from what we hammered them in 88 same spot doing the same thing but the average fish was way way bigger this time

Yep that's what I run. Better hits and releases. There not afraid of ball s. You put out 75 foot and you drag 2 15 inches for an hour. Too much stretch. Try even 10 to 25 you'll never go back. Quicker too net also

Fished Dunkirk today. A mile west of port and 90 to 100 fow. Started around 6:30 and had a four man limit by 8:40. The fishing is just ridiculous right now. Never got the full spread out before we had a limit. All worm burners. Dipseys, riggers and ten colors. Ended the day with 28 total but obviously, only kept our limit. Four came while we were clearing lines. No shorts, one sheepshead and the rest eyes.

Didn’t matter what color, everything was catching fish. Pink lemonade and Grape Ape burners may have had a few more fish than everything else but all rods caught multiple fish.

This used to happen to me quite frequently when fishing shallow water for bass and happened to me earlier this year fishing out of Barcelona.  Try taking a piece of lawn trimmer string or even some wire and use that to clean out the exit hole.  That should get it flowing again

Next trip I plan to fish the Catt. The advantage of driving out to Barcelona seems to be reduced a bit as the fish move East end of July.

This weekend I was going 2.4-2.7 SOG. I don’t have a fish hawk (tuah), but I usually run 2.0-2-2 mph SOG. Caught plenty of fish at 2.5 this past weekend

Out of Dunkirk left dock at 7 back at 10 two man limit. Caught over 20+ fish only kept 18” and bigger. Ran 4 dipsy’s with harnesses. Best depth for me was 75-80’.  Had a hard time keeping up.  Good mix of year classes

Based on our experience on Monday and other reports on here and Lake Ontario United I think a more consistent bite is at Barcelona. Good luck.

We have been fishing out in 45-50 FOW, out past Meyers Reef. Bottom bouncing with worm harnesses has gotten most of our fish. Friday we got 11 with 8 of those over 21 inches. An orange, cheap Walmart harnesses did most of the damage.
