  1. Went out of Dunkirk yesterday, managed 5 keepers, 2 perch and 3 throwbacks. The color yesterday seem to be black and purple add a gold blade with gold beads. Fished between 70 and 85 foot of water, Dipsy’s did best at 145 to 175 foot out. That worked well. Also had a lot of short hits either from perch or silver bass Kept checking, Dipsy’s and downrigger’s came up with worms stripped almost every time. Had to fight through a few other issues, with a downrigger, and even lost one of our torpedo weights.

  2. Ckawski and Stillwater, I really appreciate sharing some info. I will most likely going to Dunkirk and set up somewhere between 50 and 100 feet of water. I will add to the report once we get off the lake or sometime that evening. If you’re out before then and you want to share I would willingly take that information. Thanks and good luck to the both of you.

  3. thinking of heading out of either the Catt  or Dunkirk on Sunday.  I know things can change weekly or at least since the last time we were out.  Can or is anyone willing to help another fisherman out by  providing some information as to what depth you are fishing, how many feet down, dipsy length, etc..  Thank you and good luck.  Keep the reports coming.

  4. Dunkirk 7/9
In the water at 6:30 , so much for the 1 foot or less and 5 - 10 mph winds. A little wavy but fishable. Ended up with 10, lost at the boat and 1 throw back. Dipsy’s set on 3 out 155 and 8 core, with sticks northern lights and I believe a renosky mirror in brown trout and harnesses on green/ chartreuse and purple/ pink/ blue with a gold back. All fish were healthy between 23” - 26”.

  5. Went out this morning from 6:30 - 11:30.  Caught 1 eye within the first half hour, thought is was going to be a good day.  Boy was I wrong.  Never moved a rod for the next 2.5 hours, got 1 more eye, and that was it.  VERY SLOW, didn't mark many fish, trolled all the way from just off the windmills to the condos (approximately as I was foggy), and back, from 35 ft - 50 ft.  Caught both on harnesses.

  6. Thanks for sharing. We were also out on Sunday, slow , but moved some rods, ended the day with 5 in the box, biggest was 26.5 “. 35 - 40 out of the South gap. All fish came on harnesses. Downriggers and long lines a bottom bouncer caught most fish, silver bass, perch and some healthy Sheephead.
We are not in the tournament

  7. Fished the Catt yesterday on Saturday from 7- 12, I agree with ciscokid, fished 74 ft - 80 ft, picked up 9 and last a few others,  fish were picky, a flurry of hits and then shut down for a while,  dipseys out 170 - 180, riggers a 53 and 56 (picked ip most of our fish on harnesses) and a 10 core which picked up 2.  trolling speed was 1.8- 2.2.  Fishing at or just above the thermocline seemed best.  Also picked up 3 healthy silver bass., walleye caught were healthy and appeared to be eating well.

  8. fished out of Buffalo this morning from 6:30- 11:30 in 58- 60 foot of water, ended up with 6, 5 on the downrigger at 53' and 1 on 7 color lead core, 1 on sticks and 5 on harnesses, silver back seem to work better than copper.  Marked what seemed to be a lot of bait and fish higher up in the water column, when we marked fish in the 50- 56 foot range they were walleye.  Still seems pretty slow for this time of year.

  9. First time out this morning, (not in the STWT), trolled for 6 hours and only managed 1 walleye,  1 bass and 1 sheephead.  worked hard and threw the kitchen sink at them. Trolled in front of the windmills, out to the condo's and to meyers reef.  For all the suposed great spawning thats been happening the last few years, where are all the walleye?
