Not the greatest pic but that tail looks nothing like a king- not belittling your catch but I say the DEC is wrong. Big spots on a king are along the back and above the lateral line - maybe I'm wrong but I don't see it. Regardless you gotta like those weird catches when they happen

First time there all year. We have been catching out of Buffalo. No idea of reports. Fish were bigger than what we've been getting. No junk fish.

I have used a Parker center fire since crossbows became legal in NY. I am very happy with it. There are tons of options but let's face it -point-aim- safe off- fire. I chose Parker over all others that I had a opportunity to shoot for one main reason - MADE IN AMERICA. I also prefer the shotgun style stock.

That's an in treating technique. What type of release do you use that doesn't crimp the lead core or do you just use a two color lead core rod? Also, how much will it drop below the ball?
We were at Dunkirk yesterday and got 7. all but one came on 7-8 color over 78' on a crystallina/watermellon colored renosky.
Use a 2 color rod-never clip release onto core. I figure the bait runs 6-8' below the ball.

Salmon fishing technique - SWR (secret weapon rig) gets your bait in "clean water" below the ball

I hear you overthelimit- I haven't fished salmon or walleye since early June. Been spending time at hunting property doing this and that just to keep me off line or at the stores on the weekends.

I bet you do! The guy he was reading the riot act to was my buddy Tim whom I met years later. Guy with me when we met up at the Southtowns tourney 2 years ago for beers. They did have a huge parts warehouse, just a interesting customer service communication policy. We did get what we needed- LOL

I got some used parts years ago for a work boat at Drydock Marina in Amherst on transit Road. He had a ton of parts in a back building that he took us to. This was 15 years ago but it's still there

I fished yesterday from 5- midnight- trolled Meyers to hoaks. Shallower- a little deeper didn't matter. 2 smallies and a white. Zero walleye - not a bad screen.
