  1. Most of the time I launch at Prendergast.  It is a great launch for the summer and would have no problem handling your size boat.  I find that it can be too shallow to use in the late fall, so I normally switch over to Long Point.

Long Point is no doubt the nicest launch on the lake, but you have to pay an entrance fee to get into the park during the summer.  These fees are waved if you have an empire parks passport.

  2. CSH - I do not have these...sorry.  I saw them at the Niagara show.  The picture is from the Amish Outfitters website...

The pins they are referring to in the product description are what is used to hold the loop of the walleye harnesses in place.  You will get 24 pins (they literally looked like a long staple that you pushed into the foam)...12 per foam board.  You can also buy more of these pins on their website.

  3. I have a crazy theory that if i work hard during the winter, I will not think about fishing as much and will have extra time during the season to fish more...this theory does not work at all!  Time to find a new approach :emoticon-0102-bigsmile:

  4. T-Trophy,

I am interested in his ghost blades.  While I am just getting into walleye fishing, I noticed in the corner of his booth some prototype mag-sized (10, 12, etc) ghost blades that he will be painting up for Musky inline bucktails.  It will be interesting to see how they pull and if they will still attract the toothy critters like a pair of mag-colorado blades effectively does!

I need to also look more into his custom painting.  I would love to send in a box of lures for him to paint!

  5. I have really enjoyed painting mag-sized blades the past couple years for Musky fishing.  I am thinking it might be time to try my hand at the smaller sizes to see how they will come out and if they will be effective.  Personally, I like the idea of multiple colors on a blade incase a fish is dialed into a specific color on a given day (giving me a better chance at triggering that bite).

The first attempts include a Purple/Blue/Silver pattern and a yellow/copper/and brown pattern.  While I really like my "Musky Stripes", I am not 100% sold on the walleye ones yet...maybe I just need to shrink them a little bit and then they will be better...

I also attached images of some of the Musky blades I have been painting up.
