  1. Less then 7 days till things get reel! Hope everyone has worked out the kinks on new equipment, and fixed the pesky issues from last season. Fishing is already good out there. Going to be throwing alot of 20" back this year so be gentle with the future trophies:emoticon-0100-smile:. Good luck to everyone in the tournament. Hope I beat you by a pound. Stay safe and have fun.

  2. Hey fellas!, Those who have used a wolf cam on their trolling gear, how did ya hook it up? Guess I was thinking off the rigger would probably be safer to not loose? Maybe behind the dipsy?<-- put on after snubber? Just wondering how you guys may have done it. Thanks for any advice!:emoticon-0160-movie:

Lost a inline board early Saturday morning. With the wind direction and current it would have been in the buffalo area.Guess I should have had my name and number on it.First one I have ever lost.

Not cheap for what they are. Not a bad idea to put name and number on em in case you do loose one. Might find its way to a honest fisherman. We wrap our line around the top tongue behind the peg and havnt lost one since.

  4. Went solo this morning out of Barcelona. Started shallow..like 25-35. Hooked bottom twice and went deeper. Found some action in the mid 50's running 30-40ft down. No monsters but good eaters. 3-5pounders. Back at it tomorrow. Caught on riggers and 6 color.

  5. Have to agree about the truck comment. But we all know deep down Fords are the tops... :emoticon-0103-cool:. Just make sure the rods you choose have some good backbone. All mine are MH and H for my 9 and 10. I run with in ine boards with 27# lead, and they have some pull. And we "POP" them to release board if the fish didn' trip them and without a stiff pole it would be very hard to get the board to release. My 2 cents

It really comes in handy at night, you can shine it directly into the boat whenever you catch a fish.

That'd be handy as well. When warm the ability to keep the bugs at the bow would be nice I bet.

I have a GoLight, I purchased it about five years ago when I had a camp on the Trent River in the Kawartha Lakes. Returning to camp in the dark was dangerous because the river has lots of buoys. The first night I used it I came upon a guy fishing in the dark in a paddle boat with no navigation lights. About a month later I stumble upon a couple making out in the middle of the lake with the navigation lights turned off. This light is powerful, it would easily light up two buoys ahead of me. It operates remotely, turns nearly 360 degrees and moves up and down.

GoLight GoBee Stanchion Mount Remote Spotlight

That's a nice unit! 5 years old seems it would last so worth the price. The fact it turns remotely is very cool. Thanks for the input!

  8. When fishing at night, what do you guys use for a forward facing light? I just made my first voyage night trolling and I was very uncomfortable with my setup. Only being able to see roughly 20ft total beyond the bow. I used a old school probably 500watt offroad cigarette lighter powered light. Any input would be appreciated!
