Fished west of Catt on Canadian line today from 9:00-1:00. Caught 4 small keepers. All 4 on watermelon harnesses behind dipseys, nothing on down riggers. Marked fish all morning, just Perfect conditions, 2-2 1/2' chop and over cast. Just couldn't get them to turn on.

Check this out this is from my buddy who was out there earlier this weekend. Last year the dec guy said 80% of their diet is goby. I'm sure they still eat perch too I always have spoons with that perch pattern on the line

Love it. Last week I caught a goby and left it on the worm harness. Caught a big sheep head and then a 4# walleye. I've since bought some artificial gobies to try on the harness

Bottom bouncing, we are each using one rod.

You have to keep working the rod and hug the bottom.

Lost 3 and boxed 10 (2#-5#) this morning (9:30 - 12:30). All bottom bouncing with harnesses. Single blade; chartreuse/silver and copper. Interesting...2 came on a harness with a gobie attached rather then a crawler. Fun morning.

I heard there was a way to catch em in the day in May at the 25 tp 30 ft level but never had much luck, now I got some confidence to go give it a try again. Thanks. Paper says slime starting to show up in lower river, bar area so night fishing window gonna close soon, nice to have a good second option after the slime and until they get in their summer pattern.

I DON'T BELIEVE THOSE ARE WALLEYES.
I’m curious…what makes you think they are not walleye?
