I was just wondering what pound test leader to run off the dipsey to a small scorpion sized spoon. I heard to use light line ( like 10lb) for these spoons but that seems like it would snap when hit with a dipsey. I usually run 25 for salmon and trout. I will be running either braid or wire main line to the dipsey. Thanks for any replies.

Was out solo today and limited out . LOTS of boat traffic now. Lost some today as I was fighting another fish. Hard to catch 2 fish at once and control boat.I stayed away from the pack. Flicker minnows in the early AM then harnesses later in morning. Anywhere from 20-35 feet down in 40-50 fow. 1.8-2.0 for the sticks and 1.5-1.7 on the harnesses.

One man Limit today. Fish were snapping once you found them. Suspended Harnesses in between 40-50 ft of water . Torpedo sharks off in-lines was the ticket today.

By segmented , do you mean like a 2 core , line in between and then maybe another 2 or core and etc? If so how much line between each cores and what pound test between? I have a 10 core On a reel I hardly use that I could break up that way and get a variety of different cores.

Thanks guys! One more question is I usually run the dipseys at 3 to 3 1/2. Should I use a 2 setting if I'm also running boards?

Thanks. Should I run dipseys inside of in line planers?

I was wondering if anyone runs wire with dipseys on Erie or does it spook the walleye. Also , can you run in-line planers with dipseys or will it tangle up?

Thank for the help. Do you guys use a snubber ? I don’t use one normally. I think I’ll give the 12 a try and move up if I end up losing too many lures/ fish lol.
