Anyone have an idea wherte to fish mid April?

Feb 8-10th. It looks like a great show, but again first time we've come that way. 14 hour drive for us to get there and pulling a trailer with all the display stuff...gonna be a long haul. https://www.columbusfishingexpo.com/

Post is two fold, we are coming to lake Erie for a week of fishing in Mid April, about the only time we could make it work so hoping weather isn't terrible. We'll be staying at Huron area and was wondering where does a guy start that time of year to catch some fish? Also, just curious how many people go to the Columbus fishing expo as it will be the first time we have a booth there. Excited to get feedback from guys in the are of new stuff we have coming out.
