  1. I went out this morning and got stuck behind a ton of guys launching for the tournament. Got out later that I wanted. Didn't get nothing. Only marked 3 or 4 fish. We were out alittle deep than I wanted to but the others wanted to go deeper so we fished 20-30 ft in the pack of boats. Maybe next week....

  2. I'm gonna be heading out to try my luck as well from small boat harbor. My dad has been bugging me for a long time to go so I said what the heck. We're gonna drift worm harnesses and try jigs. Probably launch around 5 am too. I have a silver ford with a blue 19 ft Lund pro V. If you see me say hi. We're gonna be very green with walleye so we appreciate any tips or starting points.

  3. I've been waiting for a little bit warmer day myself to get out in my boat. I normally fish all winter in the Niagara but the old boat slowly broke and I don't want to be unfamiliar with my boat while I'm up river.

It's my favorite way to fish. A couple friends, few beers, and catching all the 3 or 4 lb males you can handle, with a few bigger ones, and non targets mixed in. I put some underwater lights on the stern to help net this spring and some better lighting inside. I can't wait

What kind of lights did you use? I thought about doing the same thing on my boat

  5. casting for them is a lot of fun. I cast husky jerks for them on oneida at night. The worse the weather the better the fishing. i live in the buffalo area but the in-laws live out near utica. Never really thought about casting them on erie. can you do this all summer long? I guess i always assumed that when it heats up they follow cold water out deep and stay there. Thanks for the replies guys. I just picked up another boat and have been excited to be able to go spots my old boat couldn't go (main motor blew) and do something other than troll for salmon and trout.

  6. Im joining the south towns walleye association today. I was curious if there was any other walleye clubs in western new york or any other decent clubs besides LOTSA and niagara river anglers. Ive been trolling for salmon for a while and want to get my dad into walleye and perch (he's obsessed). Never had much luck on erie except for small mouth. Maybe this year will be different. Im also open to groups and stuff to follow on Facebook.
