  1. I just replaced the lower lube in July, it was clean and no water or milky color. My main concern is, being new to outboard motors, is that I want to be sure I haven't missed having to drain water from anywhere on the motor, as the temperatures are dropping below freezing
  2. winterizing I just purchased a used 2013 Lund with a 60hp four stroke Mercury. I have preformed the winter prep spelled out in the Mercury manual by adding stabil to the tank and to the fuel cup and running for 15 minutes. My question is, the manual states the unit is self draining, is it? Is there any worry of trapped water sitting somewhere, freezing and causing damage? My particular concern is wherever the impeller is located, in my mind, must hold water? Is there any other winter prep that I should do?
  3. Thanks! Are you from Northeast Pa the town or NE Pa meaning the NE part of PA?
  4. Thanks! I appreciate the offer, I will take you up on it!
  5. Thanks! I just pulled up an easy chair and have made myself at home.
  6. Thanks WC! I'm looking forward to absorbing what I can here. I wish it was May and not November.......... Spring will be here soon.
  7. Newbie from NWPA Hello All, As my user name suggests, I'm a newbie that lives in NW Pa and has recently re-caught walleye fever after a couple weeks in Canada fishing. I have also just purchased a boat that I hope to use for walleye fishing in Canada but would possibly like to try Lake Erie if the weather would permit the small boat I have. I hope to learn here and possibly in the future add input. Ive loved fishing my entire life but raising children and working seemed to take priority over the years. Now kids are grown and fishing is back on my to-do list. Years ago my father and I fished Lake Erie for walleye but it's been so long I barely remember much of it. So, thanks for having me aboard!
