  2. I joined this site to gather and share information to help me and others become better walleye fisherman.  Being a newbie to Lake Erie walleye fishing, I need all the help I can get.  I'm catching some fish but it''s been tough so far.  It's too bad some members have to post negative comments about others....  Ckawski - you sound like the real deal...!!  I would put my money on you.

Very few give reports here. Ckawski reports which is better than the other 95%. I fish once a week and try to give report each time wish others would do same

  4. Sorry you didn’t find them in Barcelona Fyshon.  I drove the 120 miles to Dunkirk today and managed to get there a little after 5:00. Fishing was slow but steady for me. Went 8/11 and kept my 6. All fish came west of Van Buren  point in 60’.  No pattern.  Half on harnesses and half on plugs.  Two on the rigger, two on the wire dipsey and the rest on the lead core set at 6 color.

Thanks for report pequod1 next week will try Dunkirk is long ride out from Hemlock for me

  5. Appreciate your post Rvan heading out tomorrow and have to decide whether to drive to Dunkirk or buffalo.

Head to Dunkirk or Barcelona tough bite in buffalos fished 30-70 ft only two fish in boat. Couple lost Spoons sticks and harness all fish on harness on rigger 1.8-2.2. Marked quite a bit of bait out deep in 15-30 fow but no takers caught one out deep off bottom. HEAD WEST !!

  6. First trip to Erie and it was a good one. Fished the 26th and 27th. Friday caught between 35 and 40 in only 4 hours lost track. Couldn’t keep rods in water. Biggest was 8.5 lbs and smallest was 17 1/2 inches. Worm harnesses were hot but did get a few on a bomber long A. 53’ of water was best for us. Saturday they seemed to have spread out but did get another 40 through the day. Caught them on riggers lead-core and bottom bouncers. Wanted to try some different ways and they all worked.  My daughter and I want to thank everyone who posts on here. It helped us out a lot! Buffalo launch was great along with the fish cleaning station.  What rigger releases does everyone use?  My off shore releases didn’t pop all the time. I have the medium tension. Think I should order some of the light off shore white ones.

Went to chamberlains I have been very pleased
