Just recently bought my first Erie boat. It is a '98 Sportcraft with a 5.7L Volvo. Previous original owner used marine gas all but one time over the 20 years he owned it. What's the difference in marine gas vs. Regylar highway gas. I have a trailer and take the boat out every time I use it. Is it ok the use non ethanol high octane pump gas instead of marine gas? I am going to be in the Geneva / Ashtabula area for a few day with the family. I'm not from the area but would like to try some perch fishing while i'm there. I have never fished for perch before. Is there any place that I can fish from the bank or a public pier or dock that has some decent chances at getting on some perch? Also, what kind of bait or rig would be best. Thanks for the help.
