We started late today ,did not return from the Buffalo Airport with client until 2:30 am.Started at noon and caught the first muskie at 34" at 1:10 pm.

Today started out better with a 48" Fattie right off the 1st hour.Trolled until 1 pm to finally get another great muskie of 46 1/2".

Back out again tomorrow.

Today flat water and sunshine, headed north toward Mayville Flats,Surface water temp is 68 degrees.Floating weeds are pushed to Dewittville Bay side of the lake.

36",30" & 28" muskies today down south,lots of floating weeds!I seem to only be catching all male fish,must be post spawn slow period yet.

Monday is very calm and flat like glass water,no hits the first hour. 68 degree water at Long Point and 73 degree water near the Cribbs South End.Water clarity is mostly clear.Everything seams to be in 11 ft or shallower as well.

Today started down South,only got one short rip there,seen two other boats net smaller muskies.Went north at 1 pm,had to go all the way to Mayville Flats to get out of weed piles.We managed a 29" muskie and that was it for today.Back out tomorrow .

The North end did nor mark much,some bait fish schools just past Bell Tower.We had a short rip infront of Long Point Marina.Then we caught a nice 42" muskie in the South end in 11 ft of water.I did not see any of the other boats net a fish,but they probably did catch a few.Water temp was 65 degrees up north and 72 degrees down South. Back out in the morning!

Lures with a twist, over on Silver Lake the crappie are shallow now,but 1 out of 20 would just reach 9" ,so we released everything we caught there!

We fished Honeoye Lake on Friday for Crappie.We only caught 3 Crappie,but did catch 100's of Bluegills, Rock Bass, Perch and an ocasional Largemouth Bass using Crappie Stingers in black & chartreuse and slip bobber.Looks like the lake needs another week to set up the fish in shallow around the docks, even 8 ft water was slow.

Pequod1,I have never gone out for Perch and caught nothing as well,maybe the rain the day before snd Northeast winds for a few days.But then again they could be spawning and not feeding.I will try again on Tuesday.

Launched from Hidden Harbor at 7 am.Dropped anchor first at 53 ft straight out from the Catt.Marked a carpet of perch on bottom,not one hit!Tried four other normal productive spots,more of the same marking perch but no hits.Out of a dozen boats I seen (1)One Perch reeled in.We quit at 11 am and went to Milleys for lunch.

Worked hard the other day to get 20 perch by middle gap of Buffalo Harbor.I will try Sturgeon Point on Tuesday.

Go to the Buffalo Canal that goes past General Mills to Sand Piles.Back by the sand piles there are lots of Emerald Shiners, you will need a long handled net from shore.

The launch docks are in at Barcelona Harbor,be careful there is part of the broken wall in the channel,stay to the right as far as you can when going out or returning.
