The wind cooperated for us this weekend, so my wife and I made the trip to Dunkirk.  A two day limit of 24 walleyes and a few toss backs. One fish was donated to our bartender. 17" to 25", most are 21". Over 85-95 FOW down 50 using harnesses and stickbaits.  Fished mid-day and very few guys out.

Good work man. I like seeing that you also bleed your fish out what a difference in the fillet.!!!! 👍🏾

  3. Man what another insane trip we never sat down 2 man wrecking crew we were done in 45 minutes!!!!!!!  We had a few seventeens early on and the further towards Dunkirk we went the bigger they got. Same program as Monday maybe a little deeper on the downriggers we were parking them at 65.  Quick shout out to Tom at the hanover boat launch he does a great job keeping  everybody in line out there ! awesome time awesome facility!

  4. 3 men limit today after abandoning our trolling program we decided to bottom bounce. we were seeing more fish close to the bottom today so as soon as we switched we started hooking them real good. same area Maybe a little further on our side this time. Our best worm harness is of course 3D worm harass gold orange Hatchet blade with RED hooks. It was an absolute battle axe today I believe I got yelled at for us getting to our limit too quick LOL they were having too much fun!!!!!!!!

Can you share any info as to what is working?  Any advice is greatly appreciated.  Art

If you look back at my previous posts it explains it pretty good we really had no other change other than we didn't bother using lead core because our dipsy divers and  Down rigors were so active. The biggest advice I tell people that have not been having good luck as it also happened to me back in the day... Is pick your speed up chances and you're going too slowmost guys like to troll 1.5to 1.75 speed over ground .that is way too slow this time of yearin most cases at least that's what we experience on my boat. I'm at 2 and a 1/2 to sometimes 2.75 depending on how deep my lines are. Downloaders were at 73 and Dipti divers on a 3 setting were 220. And dipsy divers on a one setting were 175.

Interesting for us, we fished Thursday n Friday Sept 12 n 13 out of Dunkirk in 70fow towards Catt with 2 riggers at 60 n 66 and 2 dipsys each side 190ft wire #3 setting n mag dipsy #1 setting 110. All stickbaits were run, Rogues, Bombers, n Excalibers. Thursday they wanted it fast, 2.5 to 2.8 at the ball. Friday, it had to be under 2.4mph at the ball with 2.2 best. The week before, 2.0 to 2.2mph at the ball.

Not a lot of experience for us there as these were r first 2 trips ever but interesting seeing the wide variety of speeds they wanted...

What type of unit are you using to measure the down speed I use a subtroll

  8. Technically we were walleye fishing this morning but we got our limit so fast we decided to fish for perch out in front in 65 feet. Only caught about 7 we didn't really spend a ton of time maybe an hour but one cool thing I noticed is that several big perch were spitting up sea fleas and I believe that's what we were seeing on our fish finders clouds of sea fleas with perch underneath them.

Hats off to Joe Lagreca.  After many frustrating trips with not a whole lot of success, I spoke with Joe and he gave some great tips that we were overlooking or not realizing that contributed to our failures.  I put his advice to use Sunday morning when we fished out of the Catt. and what a difference it made, we had a great day and by far, one of our most productive.  It's great to have guys like Joe on the forum who are willing to share their knowledge and help ALL of us enjoy the great fishing we have right here in our backyard.  Thanks, again Joe !

You're welcome it was awesome hooking up with you guys in the cleaning station. We went out again this morning Monday and same thing had our limit in 2 hours same program same spot.
