  1. 1 make sure your battery volts are above 10 volts. Most electronics auto shut down with low voltage. If you add another depth and fishfinder, to get a good view you must disable the sonar signal on one unit otherwise a lot of interference is visible from the other machine. The GPS mode is still available on that machine.

Batteries are fine , fishfinder works , just want a upgrade, not going to run 2 units , but seen there is 2 options on transducer on HDS live and was wondering about the difference. Have a Lowrance Gen 2 five inch screen , want the 7 inch screen . Will sell it after new unit .

  2. My 10 lb braid with 3 way swivel bottom bouncer will out perform your wire line. Can’t see catching a 17 in walleye with wire line or braided with dipsey There’s no fight to begin with, go light and enjoy some fight. Rather catch sheephead which gives you a great fight

There is NO stretch whatsoever with wire , you feel EVERY fish , you can tell if a perch is hitting .

  3. I see 11 -12 MPH winds out of the N.E. Friday to Sunday. Gusts to 18 MPH. Then rain Monday. How do you think a Lund Alaskan 1600 would fair. Seems to me they always under estimate winds. I have a handicapped wife, so I can't let her get beat up  by wind and waves. 7 hours trip one way for us also.  thanks!

If your home port is Stergeon Pt , your eligible, or Have a place at Pt Breeze OR regularly launch at the Catt. Cost is 50 bucks a boat, 3 man boat limit , ALL fish cleaned for big ass fish fry and prizes awarded for big fish . I've fished it ( having a place at Pt Breeze) since it started.
