RUNNIN REBEL
Tipps for shed hunting Anyone have tipps for locating deer sheds ? I am looking for specific terrain and locations you may have been successful in. I have open apple orchards and heavy woods on hillsides that face sun and not. I also have a huge swamp they frequent spring/summer/fall. Typical bedding areas that I have not been successful in yet. Thanks Jerry RUNNIN REBEL

J. Sparrow
My experience is they are where you find them. There's been no rhyme or reason. Of course bedding to food and back are the best places to look. Some guys build shed traps when the time is right, and the really serious guys train their dogs to retrieve them.
Fishnut
Start looking where the deer are hanging out in December and January, find there hiding spots. These will Be close to feeding and bedding areas. The best tip I can give you is to leave your cameras out in heavily used deer areas or suspected used areas to see when the deers antlers that your looking for is no longer on his head. I usually have 20 cameras out at any given time year round. I don’t pull all my cameras after hunting season. jimski2
When the ground snow melts and before it starts greening up is a good time to search.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United
