bettieanne
Typically fish east end of Lake Ontario for the opener. Due to covid we’re staying closer to home. Can walleyes be caught during daylight hours this early on season. Typically fish the nite bite but have my father and 2 sons fishing with so don’t want to do that if I don’t have to. jimski2
Walleyes[pickerel] and perch spawn in water temperatures of 42 to 48 degrees, mainly after dark, when a spotlight will light up millions of eyes, they will turn on to the feed after their bellies are empty of eggs and milt. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United Mobile AppWe trolled along the windmills near smokes creek from 8:15-11:30 ended with 5 nice walleye and 2 bass (which we threw back) fog got pretty thick but we had a steady bite once we found the pod. 1.5-1.8 in 5-10 fow.
