Shellback
Planning a trip in a week or two and will fish out of the North East Marina launch. What winds do I need to avoid? I just have a 17 foot tiller boat with a 50HP Honda. I'm retired and will watch the weather for the best possible days, and I'd rather fish Monday to Thursday. I fished the lake last August and only got out one morning and one afternoon due to the winds. Never trust a weather report! Thanks! nauticalnuge
Quote National weather service marine forecast on the internet gives updates every few hours for the eastern basin, n.w. can be troublesome however if the wind gets up to 15 mph + it gets sporty
Thumbburn
The general rule of a weeks vacation is you will be able to fish 50% of your trip because of weather.... anything out of the south with your boat will be fine... other than wind of over 15 mph.....10 or less any other wind you should be fine..Sent from my iPhone using Lake Erie United
